Got mine on Amazon, just googled it. Took a while to arrive. Got 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20lb bands. I've found then to be excellent so. Great alternative to a closed gym. Want beat free weights but I live being able to workout at home in a small area in front of the telly.Nolanator wrote:https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08 ... They came from Hong Kong, though, and international shipping isn't exactly speedy at the moment. I ordered on 21st March and they only arrived on 15th Arpil.
They're useful for adding more variety to home exercise, but I wouldn't base a workout primarily around them. I'd stick with BW exercises as much as possible. Pushups, pullups, squats and all variations of each. The band are most useful for upper back/rear shoulder exercises.
I got a Cube Ltd Pro hardtail about 7-8 years ago. It was bought using the cyclescheme at work so worked out a cheap purchase. One of the best bikes I have ever had, still runs very smoothly and nothing has gone wrong or broken. Love it.mikeyboy123 wrote:

being delivered in a week or two and didn’t see one in the flesh before buying on-line, but did a lot of research and it seems great bang for buck. Got it for about £470 delivered which is not that much more than say a carrera from Halfords, but seems to be a real step up. It’s the Aim Race which I think is the third one up in the Aim range. It’s got remote fork lockout. I’ll be using it primarily on gravelly trails with the wife and kids so I’m sure something a bit cheaper would have done me, but two of the local dads keep asking me if I want to ride with them, so wanted something reasonably decent.Cube are excellent value for money. My daily use bike is a Cube and it's ridiculously good - puts many high-end brands to shame

The Chord Hugo 2 is the worst kind of audiophile equipment
This $2,500 DAC and headphone amplifier shines technically, but disappoints musically
The worst villain is usually the one whose motivations you can sympathize with and understand, someone redeemable that just went down the wrong path of pillaging the homes of innocent villagers. That’s basically how I feel about the Chord Hugo 2, a digital-to-analog converter and headphone amplifier that’s not much larger than a 3.5-inch portable hard drive. On paper, the Hugo 2 promises to be an unlikely combination of ultra high-end audiophile performance and easily transportable size. Its price hovers around the wallet-eviscerating mark of $2,500, but that’s not why I find this product villainous. The evil of the Hugo 2 is in how great it is at some things and how treacherously awful it is at others.
I love the sound quality of my Uniti - you just can't beat Naim.duke wrote:

I've been fortunate with my Naim kit as I haven't had any build quality issues so far. Some software issues on older kit (Unitiserve) but they have disappeared for now. The only issue I have is that there is no retailer in Salisbury!clydecloggie wrote:I love the sound quality of my Uniti - you just can't beat Naim.duke wrote:

Build quality not so much, but that's part and parcel of British high-end stuff.

I have OMD EM1-X but never use video. In fact I never use video on my Canon Full Frame either. Really should try it out sometime I guess.inactionman wrote:Slight abuse of thread, but I'm looking at getting a camera for some video work and was looking at a Panasonic GH4 - any bordies got any useful advice before I buy? General consensus seems to be it's pretty good, and it's dropped a fair bit in price since the GH5 and GH5s have come out.
I use an Olympus OM-D for stills so already have some lenses, but the olympus isn't really meant for video and I've no idea what I'm doing so thought I'd pick some brains - suspect someone somewhere will be doing some video work.
Can't stretch to the EM1-X as I'm strictly a gentleman amateur, but was considering an EM-1 Mk2 now used prices are dropping (this would be purely for stills). How's the continuous AF on the EM1-X? It's pretty much unusable on my old EM-5, so many potential good shots lost as it just shuttles about. Would anticipate the EM-1 would be notably better.VBall wrote:I have OMD EM1-X but never use video. In fact I never use video on my Canon Full Frame either. No ours is metallic grey and is is the 102BHP version - that one is lower power. 102 is adequate but I wouldn't want less power than that.YOYO wrote:This the one you bought?

Not sure of the colour or alloys!
You can get the engine re-mapped to increase the power - something I might consider if I find it is a bit tardy when fully loaded - seems OK atm - it's not as if I'm going to drive it like a sports car.YOYO wrote:The metallic grey colour and nice alloys is a really nice camper van. Yeah defo would want to have decent power. Good luck with it.ovalball wrote:No ours is metallic grey and is is the 102BHP version - that one is lower power. 102 is adequate but I wouldn't want less power than that.YOYO wrote:This the one you bought?

They are decent enough wheels, Anon, but for very little more money you can get a far superior set handbuilt by you local wheelbuilder. Benefit being that they usually stand behind their work so in the unlikely event of any niggles with the wheel they will sort them.
Thanks for the tip. I'm very happy with these wheels though. If I had to do it again I might take a chance with something cheaper as these are probably over engineered for just riding to work (hopefully I'll be doing that again one day).BlackMac wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 9:04 amThey are decent enough wheels, Anon, but for very little more money you can get a far superior set handbuilt by you local wheelbuilder. Yeah, not a critiscism in any way, of you or the wheels. Being heavier that your average road cyclist, I found myself going through factory built wheels at a ridiculous rate, especially on my commute. I spent maybe £40 more on handbuilt and they were pretty much indestructable.Anonymous 1 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 10:45 amThanks for the tip. I'm very happy with these wheels though. Reckon you should go Sony a6400 or a7S, or one of the Fujifilm X series according to budget.inactionman wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 12:57 pm Slight abuse of thread, but I'm looking at getting a camera for some video work and was looking at a Panasonic GH4 - any bordies got any useful advice before I buy?
