Andrews has just come out and stated that Victoria will not be applying for any exemptions, so they can get f**ked.

Should get interesting...
I was surprised by that announcement but it will prove rather interesting. I don't think there will be any unvaccinated players taking him up on the quarantine option.

Capacity.....
Yes, capacity to assemble the modules and slide the boat into the water. I think that's what they mean by local industry involvement. We're going need a bigger shed. Perhaps we'll somehow muddle through that. ;)

Anecdotally of course, but a friend of mine's father is a 25 year veteran of Nuke boats over there.

Yes, that's right - ASC has been sacked for being shithouse at their job. I was suggesting the new mob can build a newer bigger shed of their own - on Commonwealth property. Anyway, the propulsion module is built somewhere else by GE and delivered sealed and ready to hook up to the batteries and switch on, so no problemo.

Morrison now wants to introduce voter ID laws...

An underlying racist policy to address a non-existent problem...

Maybe another slide show, and a gloriously printed 100+ glossy book can convince us otherwise?

The speed and change of this flip by the the libs, aligned to NewsCorp, is genuinely breathtaking.

It has to be one of the biggest policy shifts for years.

Bold strategy - I suspect it has Labor and Greens worried that libs will do enough

But it isn't a policy shift. The 9 page PowerPoint presentation that accompanied their announcement on Monday categorically state that their plan is based on current policies. They have discovered a way to magically achieve net zero emissions by doing nothing. It's not a plan, it's a scam.

Sorry - lazy wording by me.
I mean PR shift and spin.

Genuine environmentally conscious people have seen through it but for the majority of the voting public it means no difference between Libs and Lab as they don’t do policy details.

LNP are just getting through a GOP and an election, it will be coal all the way after that, elevating Pitt to the front bench confirms this.
The states will continue to do all the heavy lifting on the environment, the Feds will just fight species and the Barrier Reef being listed as endangered in world environment courts as a "nothing to see here", thats the limit of their concerns

The way they get non-voters to vote - the shameless blandishments - is a national disgrace.

You know one can buy cheap sauso sangers at voting stations? Very cheap and tasty sauso sangers. Not to mention coconut ice, fudge, french jellies and various types of slice.

The most unconscionable thing about this state of affairs is the way well-meaning but naive P&C members and the like are recruited into advancing the purposes of shape-shifting reptiles.

History schmistory.

Unless would-be voters show their <undefined something>, clearly every election will be stolen.

STOLEN!

...

But enough already.

This is a moment where everyone who is not a coalition cretin should be going ABSOLUTELY FÚCKING NUTS. Scummo is inventing a problem because it's a nice diversion and a handout to the idiot fringes of the right, many of whom let US electoral politics set their agenda. And at the same time, seemingly forgetting that voting is a legal duty in Straya.

Which career are you thinking of grevious?
State politics already destroyed.

National politics?
Career in business?

Agree - nothing so far which would indicate more than already knew - so no charges (she should have declared her interest / the situation creates the perception or reality of favouritism / that politics is full of pork barrelling).

Um, you know what ICAC are investigating right?
The ICAC says it will investigate whether Berejiklian “was liable to allow or encourage the occurrence of corrupt conduct by Mr Maguire”.

The commission will probe whether her conduct represented a “breach of public trust” by placing herself in a position of conflict between her public duties and private interests “as a person who was in a personal relationship” with Maguire.

It will also investigate whether she failed to report reasonable suspicions that “concerned or may concern corrupt conduct in relation to the conduct of Mr Maguire”.
