This the fight we want to see. Not some British handbags bullshit.

I enjoy Wilder fights more than either Fury and Joshua. Joshua vs Ruiz II was boring. Joshua vs Parker was boring.
Both Fury vs Wilder had more action
Not a fan of boxing then?

Fury schooled Wilder in the first fight. Where did the complacency come from ?

To understand CI's views on boxing, is to know that he favours punchers over boxers & counterpunchers. There's a place for all 3 styles in boxing.

But to cite the excuse that his outfit was too heavy? I've heard some excuses in my time, but that one takes the cake.

Two knock downs. He thought he only needed to be perfect for one second.

Wilder has a great knockout percentage TBF. Higher than Mike Tyson, or George Foreman, or Ali

But, a glance at the quality of their respective opponents puts all that into perspective.

A finally-fit Tyson Fury showed him up.

Of course he could get lucky again.

Fury did more than show Wilder up, he gave him an absolute hiding. It was like watching Lewis against Golota, Tyson against Berbick, or Foreman against Frazier 1.

Fury is a giant and a tough one at that. Anyone that can put him down twice must have some power. Say what you will about Wilder but those two knockdowns were the best action in heavyweight for a longtime if you consider it was a title fight and it was Tyson Fury.

The lack of coverage in the national media for this has been outrageous. First Briton and only the fifth fighter in history to unify all four belts. A really top fighter and top guy doing something like that gets barely a mention compared to a scumbag like Billy Joe Saunders getting his clock cleaned.

Nothing lucky about it though. The fight was over by the end of the 9th and he cruised home. The scorecards were far closer than they should have been but he did more than enough to ensure they couldn't rob him.

There was little coverage of Saunders either.

The only boxers that register any media interest are heavyweights.

There was more media build-up to Joyce v Dubios than
Alvarez v Saunders
Taylor v Ramirez

And, although there was TV coverage, Sunny Edwards World Title fight was largely ignored.

Yeah, it's sad that many only know the sport presented by probably the poorest fighters.

Your chippy nationalism means you’re misunderstanding what I posted, I was making the exact same point as you, he won clearly but without those knockdowns he wouldn’t have got the result. So it was good luck that he had the knockdowns, not that the knockdowns were lucky.
Nothing nationalistic about it, just clarifying your poorly made point.
No luck involved. He went out to knock him down and did, twice. He dominated enough to take the homer judges and ref out of the equation. Ability not luck.

Continually slagging off Mark Breland for throwing the towel in is a disgrace. Wilder is father to eight kids FFS. Fury doesn't have to punch power to knock people out so it's likely Wilder would have just kept taking a beating until exhaustion set in.

I can't recall a beaten fighter going on record and using as many different excuses as he has. I'm surprised he hasn't said that the dog ate his homework too.
