Unbelievable attitude by Carapaz and Lopez not to take relays in that group.

Yeah... but today's stage was made for those big power climbers, a long steady climb at the end suiting steady tempo riding. Once the power went down he was spent. If the next couple of days are more like those hard climbing days last week he should be ok, it should suit his punchier style.

I think.
Fully agree yet week 3 of a grand tour..... strange things can happen.
Thank you God.

Feel sorry for Yates but as a TD fan this is good. Don't let froome get away ffs.

I know they did. But today they have a stage to fight for (and what a stage!) and potential a podium slot as well. Who cares about f*cking white jersey? Lopez is only 30" behind Pinot in the GC...

Froome has blown the field apart and who knows how the GC will be at the end of the day.

Fair play to Froome going solo from that far out and taking risks on the descent. Can he hang on?

Brilliant day of racing so far!

Froome's lead motorcyclist lost it in a tunnel and Froome did well not to go straight over him.

Dark day for Italian cycling, don't think there's ever been a Giro without an Italian rider in the top 5.

Team sponsored what. If Sky are the systematic doping machine certain people are making out, then they are f**king rubbish at it if this is how they get caught. The commons report is also a disgrace, barely a fact in it, just a lot of unsubstantiated suspicion authored by a lot of politicians

Also, how many other teams have been suspended for having a rider fail a drugs test, never mind return an adverse analytical finding.

It might just be smoke and mirrors, but in an interview before the Giro, Froome stated he was absolutely certain that he would be cleared and he certainly seems to be putting in a hell of an effort into a race everyone seems to think will not count.

Personally I think he should have taken a voluntary suspension but there is clearly a lot going on in the background

Well, lets not kid ourselves. Pretty much every rider in the grand tours and the majority of elite sportsman are on PEDs.

Lets just enjoy it for what it is, a great ride!
