Ooooooooooo
Captain Jean-Luc Picard is living in comfort with a dog (named Number One!) at his vineyard in France when trouble comes looking for him. He must return to Starfleet to confront his most hated of foes: the Borg. With him (and no one saw this coming) is Jeri Ryan, reprising her role as Seven of Nine. Also, sending fans into an orbit of pure bliss, Brent Spiner is back, though we will need to wait and see if he’s playing Data, B4 or some sort of android-of-Theseus combination. (Trekkies know exactly what I am talking about, just trust me.) Though they were not at the panel, it was confirmed that Jonathan Frakes (who also directed a number of episodes) will return as William T Riker and Marina Sirtis will do the same as Deanna Troi.

Has to be Hopper.
Total waste of time building up the Joyce and Hopper sexual tension just to waste it like that.
Also, just before she turned the keys a bunch of people showed up in the machine room wearing hard shelled suits of a type not seen before.
No reason given, and no further shots of them after the machine blows up.
Ruskies in machine explosion proof suits I think.
Kidnapped Hopper the bastards :x .

Hopper's definitely alive, he just might be trapped in the Upside Down rather than in Russian custody.
Just finished Stranger Things S3.

Absolutely loved it. Limahl’s “Never Ending Story” will never sound the same again!

I haven't heard of golden boy. I love the premise. Anyone know how I can see that from the uk?

So I watched the first episode of Another Life, hoping it would be like a tv show version of Interstellar. Sadly it looks like Melrose Place in space. Literally the entire crew apart from the boss is a 20-something millennial. They spend all the time acting like shitheads. I hate it with a passion. I hope everyone dies.

I watched Bones up to 3/4 s4 then I think the writers strike and I never picked it up again. Whole thing is on Amazon Prime so I picked it up.

Cancelled Netflix. I've got Now Tv for another 2 months plus prime. I'm also paying for Spotify, it's just getting silly. There's too many streaming services.

It doesn't know whether it wants to be the West Wing for trailer parks, 24 for OAPs or The Muppet Show.

The most notable thing I noticed in the most recent series is that someone clearly told the scriptwriters to go mad with the cuss words altogether.

And Maggie Q and Italia Ricci. Of course.

I just finished S2 of Dark.
Brilliant.
I was caught napping on S1E1 and had to rewatch it once I realized how complicated it could get.
There’s a lot of threads to it.

Am a few episodes into The Boys.

Never read the comic but like some of Ennis' other works. I hear they've dialled down the childish fart poo wee wee humour a bit which is good as it's an element of Ennis that I've never liked that much. Anthony Starr is an interesting choice to play a Superman analogue, he's not exactly the golden boy you'd expect but I can see why they cast him as he's really good at the quietly seething psychopath element of the character.

Karl Urban's English accent is terrible and Jack Quaid looks like someone put his dad and Daniel Bruhl in a mixer and then set the size to 1.5.

Also, I went to the same school as both Starr and Urban but didn't know either of them. Someone needs to cast them in something with Bret McKenzie and I'd have a trifecta of Actors who were at the same school as me who I didn't know personally.

Urban was a couple of years ahead of me at Wgtn College, McKenzie a couple of years younger. Didn't know either of them but we have a fair few mutual friends. Anthony Starr went to the same primary school as me and was a year younger but he moved away when he was pretty young. I did remember him though as it's a fairly memorable name so when he turned up on TV I recognised the name if not the face.

Read a review that said it was a bit tamer than the comic and much better for it.

I finished the series this morning, thought it was excellent in it's entirety apart from being only 8 episodes and Urban's accent. Should've just let him be Kiwi; thus far it doesn't seem necessary for Butcher to be a cockney.

Didn't recognise Starr at first having last seen him in Banshee, he was very good indeed.

originally starr was cast in Urban's role but they decided they needed a bigger name, they even shot a pilot with Starr as Butcher..cool to see simon pegg in this, though wasted..

Do you know the backstory behind Pegg's casting? He was the visual inspiration for the Hughie character in the comics.

I'm 5 episodes in to The Boys.
Starr is stealing the show for me. He's terrifying. More than a bit of Tom Cruise about that psychopathic smile that he does.
Big fan of the comics and must say, I'm very happy so far for how they've executed it. Definitely closer in tone to the comic than Preacher was for the first two seasons.

Some genuine laugh out loud moments too. The Dolphin and the laser baby being the two highlight's so far.

Cruise was my dream casting for Ozymandias in the Watchmen film, he'd have been so good in that role.

You will love the ending. Really enjoyed this series even though I am not usually a fan of the superhero genre. Watched it mainly for Starr, Urban and Shue.

Gomorrah S4 is still good TV, but the series continues to slowly go downhill imo. I'd rate the 4 seasons as 10,9,8,7

Yeah, that was ridiculously funny. Just finished the whole season. I'd give it 9/10. Exceptionally well done, with some cracking acting. I'd heard a lot about Urban's accent, but I've heard many a mockney accents in my time, and his wasn't even close to being the worse. Urban was also the emotional and comedic core of the whole show, and really sold the entire premise.

In fact, if wasn't for the fact that I only finishing watching Chernobyl a couple of weeks back (a solid 10/10 show), it would have been the best show I'd watched all year.
