I watched 3 or 4, couldn't get into it. The Austrian guy annoyed the hell out of me and thought it was trying too hard. Pity as the story was decent.

Think I preferred season 1 of Jack Ryan to the second. Preferred the ME setting with plot points from the books worked into the story. Didn't enjoy the Venezuela setting as much and Ryan is less likeable.

I've only seen the 1st 2 eps, so I'll press on for now, if only for KD's prodigious baps...

I met Helen Mirren at the premier of Catherine the Great, she is tiny and I agree the first episode of the drama did not encourage me to watch the second.

The clip they showed on Graham Norton was utter pants, so I thought if that is the bit selling it I ain’t buying...

Yep. Not a big Star Wars fan but I really enjoyed it. A lot funnier than I expected.

Same here for the Mandalorian. Wasn't expecting to like it, but it's actually pretty good.

Definitely prefer it to any of the recent Star Wars movies other than Rogue One, despite the small screen budget.

Latest ep of Watchmen is the best of the season. Took a throwaway character from the comic & crafted a genuinely interesting history.

Adding their streaming service into an already bloating streaming platform marketplace is another decision that, on the face if it, doesn't look particularly wise.

My friend told me that all the stuff he watches are normally on Netflix, Prime etc, but on his internet travels he stumbled upon "project free TV" which seemed like a place where you might find it.

It's certainly something else. Nothing else like it on TV. Yesterday's episode was another barnstormer. Sadly, I do hear rumours that it hasn't been renewed for a second season, which is a bit sad, as although I feel they could just about tie up the stories they laid out so far in the next 3 episodes...there's so much more there to mine across multiple series.

Well the use of 'box set' reveals Duff's mid-noughties mindset, but he's not wrong - none of the shows made since streaming became prevalent are as good (or as "adult") as the golden age HBO shows. But you can't rewatch them forever.

Supposedly the show was written as a standalone season. Frankly, it's a miracle that it's as good as it is, so I'd be happy for them to dip out while they're ahead.

It does it's own thing, but ties back into the novel rather than the film. Cinematography, casting, acting, music are stellar. Its mad as a bag of cats, and may lose people who aren't somewhat familiar with the source material.

I think it's one of the most interesting and engaging shows I've watched in ages. I've lost count of the amount of times I've said 'WTF?' out loud watching it. It has absolutely no right to be as good as it is. Just needs to stick the landing now.
