Because everything you can get at a butchers or greengrocers or fruit shop etc, you can get at a supermarket or dairy.ABfan! wrote:How come supermarkets and dairys are allowed open but not butcher shops or other businesses competing on essentially same market?
eg green grocers like t-market fresh or the mad butcher?
dont get it.
surely they are all allowed open or none?
would it not be better to allow the lockdown "off" say ...every fourth day 12-4 otherwise everythings shut.
progressives and foodstuffs must be rolling around on the floor laughing at this.

My wife just told me about a colleague’s situation. Her husband told her the marriage was over several months ago but has stalled on selling the house so she thought there was a chance of patching things up. Come the eve of the lockdown he decided he didn’t want to be away from the kids so returned home with his surprise new girlfriend. That’s going to be a fun time together.
My mate is locked up with his wife, she was born deaf and her way of arguing is to yell very loudly what she wants to say so he can't get a word in then turn off her hearing aids and ignore him. This happens quite regularly even when they are both working, when they are locked up together........JB1981 wrote:Anyone heard any awkward lockdown stories?

Ha. Fortunately for him I think that he's OK to move between - the combined three of them can be a single bubble across two houses. The important thing is no leaks between bubbles, not that they're in one house or two (hence kids with shared parenting). I'm clarifying that situation for myself over the next few days.booji boy wrote:Oh man that is bad.JB1981 wrote:Anyone heard any awkward lockdown stories?

I have an opposite story. Mate of mine is officially single but has a lady friend he catches up with 2-3 times a week. He definitely does not want to hook up with her permanently but enjoys her company. They had to make the big decision. Spend 4 weeks living together or not see each other for 4 weeks. They were close to making the call to lockdown together but then her daughter came home from university for the lockdown period so that made their decision for them.
I asked him how he was coping not seeing her and he said they were going to have online virtual sex.

Nah, no way Maka was mobile enough for test rugby. He was deadly at provincial level but too leaden of hoof for international rugby.booji boy wrote:John Hart happened. Yeah but if you're out of work and can't pay the mortgage temporary cash flow relief is exactly what some will need. Nobody that can afford to pay their mortgage should take it up.Couch wrote:For anyone with a mortgage and is considering taking a mortgage holiday should read this first:

Not a criticism of Randell just saying that after Hart played him as captain at No.8 and the All Blacks failed miserably (5 consecutive losses) in 1998 he brought Maka in at 8 and moved Randell to 6 and the AB's were much more effective. Thought that would be the selection going forward but oh no, Hart moved Randell back to 8 in 1999. And we all know what happened nextjdogscoop wrote:Nah, no way Maka was mobile enough for test rugby. Say what you want about Randell - cruiser, overrated, the worst AB captain in test history - he was at least athletic.
Yes correct. The AB's had built a very good lead and Maka had been very effective as a powerful ball runner at 8 helping us dominate the Boks to that point. Then Maka was taken out accidentally by a Robin Brooke elbow in the nose in a lineout and had to leave the field. That was when the Boks launched their comeback and we lost again! Fourth in a row I think. One more loss to the Wobblies in Sydney to complete our anus horribilis.eugenius wrote:Randall was a very good 6 .
But a quite average to ineffective 8.
Wasn’t Maka taken out of the away game after crushing the Boks , before they began their unlikely comeback to win ?
Or is my memory playing tricks on me .
I also remember ( again perhaps faulty ) Olo Brown making utter mince meat of the Bok front row , over their line , standing up and laughing at them .
Pretty sure this f**ked his back ?
No I honestly don't really remember that aspect of the game. I know we were pretty dominant up until Maka went off.eugenius wrote:You don’t remember the scrums ?
Olo Brown was screaming !
I’ve never seen a Bok scrum get so munted.
Did him in even ?
