Browns may have finally found a QB who can get the ball to OBJ - Jarvis Landry!

However, Dallas have decided to start playing as early as the first quarter this week and Dak is hummin'
Chubb injured now, Cleveland in trouble.

F*ck me!

I go away for five minutes and Dallas completely Dallas it up.
14 - 7 up, now 28-14 down.
Two more fumbles, Dak and Zeke.

Jaysus Dallas!

Was 14 - 7 at the end of the 1st Q (although Cleveland were just into the red zone).
31 unanswered points later at it's 38 - 14 to the Browns.
Yes, the Browns!

Over 200 yards rushing despite Chubb going off injured and Kareem Hunt carrying a groin problem.
3rd stringer running all over dem Cowboys.

McCarthy and the boys are VERY lucky there's only a handful of spectators in Jerryworld or they'd be booing the house down.

Rumors of Aaron Rodgers' demise have been greatly exaggerated. Doing it with zero weapons too.*

13 TDs and 0 picks so far this season.

The contrast between the Packers at the end of the McCarthy era and the subsequent coaching ticket is profound.
Also, they finally realised that a defence might be a good idea.

At least the allas* Cowboys learned the key lessons from how McCarthy's tenure ended... oh wait.

* They've had to be re-named since they clearly have no 'D' anymore

Good chance packers go undefeated in normal season. Relatively easy schedule. Still unsure about them in the play offs.

They have a very top heavy roster with a handful of nobodies seeing a lot of playing time. That leaves them short of the top teams imo and very susceptible to an injury slide.

But AR looks as good as ever. I did think he was off in recent seasons but not anymore! And my god their record developing o linemen is incredible.

Totally agree. The unknown is, can Rodgers and the O-Line keep doing this against the best teams. If they can, they could win a conference. Also be interesting to see how their D goes against Tampa. Unfortunately that seems like the last game they get tested maybe colts or bears give them a game.

Giants haven't scored a TD since week 2 - and only 3 all season.

First drive against Dallas - they march down the field and score.
Next drive, Dak interception returned for a touchdown (great run back, btw).

Dallas have become their own parody right now.

So nearly!

Giants called a fake Field Goal and caught Dallas asleep with the TD pass.
Called back for the O-lineman not getting reset in time after a shift...

The Buffalo Bills are for real and Josh Allen is the new Brady.
Promptly get dry humped by the Titans... who are looking seriously tasty when they get rolling.
(Actually, I have been very impressed by Buffalo and Josh, but that was a right dick-slap in the face)

Ryan Tannehill is 13-4 in his last 17 games.
See what happens when you escape from Adam Gase!

Three huge games this week:

Browns vs Steelers
(I'm sure Pittsburgh will have a nice 'welcome back' reception for Myles Garrett)

Packes vs Buccs
(Aaron Rogers vs Tom Brady. nuff said)

Chiefs vs Bills
(both coming off losses, both still favourites for their division. One will look suspect after this weekend. Spolier alert, it will be Buffalo)

Meanwhile the Falcons (at Vikings), the Jets (at Dolphins) and Giants (hosting WTF) continue to (cripple) fight over the right to f*ck up Trevor Lawrence's career.

Speaking of the Browns, just went down a wiki rabbit hole to see where Romeo Crennel had coached -- the answer was Cleveland (where he guided them to their best finish post-resurrection, 10-6 in 2007, but they missed the playoffs on tiebreaker). That led me to Joe Thomas, a likely hall of famer, who has this insane stat to his name:
Of 6,680 pass blocking attempts, Thomas allowed only 30 sacks during his career.

"likely" Hall of Famer!!!!!

Seriously?
We was arguably the best ever.
Will be first ballot.

10 Pro Bowls in his first 10 season - he suffered a season ending injury in his 11th season (then retired).
Plus 6 x All-Pro. Playing in Cleveland!

Not a good day for going for the 2 point conversion near the the end of the game.

Washington trail 13-20. Score a TD then go for the 2 pointer to win... and fail.

The Eagles come all the way back from 30-14 well into the 4th Q.
Get a TD and 2 pointer for 30-22.
Get the ball back and score a TD - then fail on the 2 pointer for the tie.

And the Texans will get questioned over their 2 pointer.
Score a TD to lead by 7 just inside the Two Minute Warning.
Could have taken the kick for an 8 point lead, try instead for a 2 pointer (and the win) but fail.
Titans roll down the field to level the score and force Overtime.
Then they win the toss, rumble down the field again and win it.

Broncos go to Foxboro and win!

I'd be temped to say the NE doesn't look so clever now, but their O-line was trashed by COVID and they lost more players to injury today.
What's a little bit of a worry is that they've already had their bye week now.
Play the 49'ers next, followed by Bills and Ravens in the space of 3 weeks.

Giants and Falcons both win.
So the Jets are the only winless team left - and currently 14-0 down to the Dolphins.

I guess we know where Trevor Lawrence will be going - unless he decides "f*ck that" and stays in College a 4th year.

28 unanswered points in the 2nd Q.

Brady is now 14/16 for 111 yards and 2 TDs, 135.2 passer rating.
Rodgers is 10/23 for 123 yards, 2 Ints, 24.3 passer rating

Tampa make play offs but lose to a team from NFC West is my prediction. Don't think they have the cohesion of a year 2/3 system to get to super bowl.

Browns need Chubb and Hunt fit at all times to keep at their level. Still a level below the big boys as Steelers showed last night.

Incredibly open this year. Part of me thinks there's a few teams like ravens and chiefs that are already in play offs and will go through the motions till the play off games. They've their eyes on winning. On form though, I think Steelers, Titans and Seahawks look the best. But it's a fools errand predicting this year as there's been some bizarre results against the run of form. Examples being 49ers and packers last night and bears and raiders last week. Super fun season so far and hope it gets better!

AFC Playoff teams so far:
- Chiefs, Titans, Ravens, Steelers and probably Bills.
AFC Wild Card teams:
- Patriots, Colts, maybe Browns, Raiders or even Broncos after last night.

My Playoffs:
#1 Chiefs
#2 Titans vs Colts #7
#3 Steelers vs Patriots #6
#4 Bills vs Ravens #5

NFC Playoff teams so far:
- Bears, Packers, Buccs, Seahawks
NFC Wild Card teams:
- one, maybe even two, from Rams, Cardinals & 49'ers plus possibly the Saints or Panthers.
Also, one team will qualify from the NFC East - f*ck knows why.

My Playoffs:
#1 Seahawks
#2 Packers vs 49'ers #7
#3 Buccs vs Rams #6
#4 Cowboys vs Bears #5

Yer Man; Do you rate the Bears that highly? Or are you just basing that off their fixtures?

My own opinion is that they're Steelers light. Mainly rely on their defence but don't have even a third of the firepower of Steelers in offence. On the other hand they are winning games. Their two games against Packers have become a whole lot more interesting after last night.

Getting into NFL a bit thanks to getting a free game of Madden 20 - what relevance or anything does this passer rating have ? And why is it 158.3 as perfect ? Surely 0-100 would have made more sense.

I also chose my fave team as the packers purely because an ex supported them and she gave decent blowies

It's a statistical algorithm that was developed since before I started following football to measure the worthiness of a QB. For why it went to 158.3, I don't know, but that's considered perfect.

ESPN's QBR system to measure the same thing is 0 to 100, but it likewise has critics of their methodology and I don't think has found wide use anywhere outside of ESPN.
