The most blatant offensive pass interference you'll see all season.

We're not good but we only lost to Seattle 9-17 about 2 weeks ago, we could beat them. But to what end!Yer Man wrote:NFC East![]()

Cowboys at 6 - 7
Eagles at 5 - 7 with a game in hand.
They play each other soon, so between them they'll win one more game this season.
One of them has got to win the division and then host a wild-card game.
Probably against the loser between Seattle and San Francisco.
That's going to be a brutal butt-fücking in their own back yard.
Might be better to give the play-offs a tactical miss this season.
I'm not convicned that the seahawks are that good. THey're wins are almost all 1 score wins and in a few of them the oppo wasted chances to win or tie it up.
Re: Official NFL 2019
Uh, after a good first half, Rams start the second with 2 interceptions and a missed field goal. Absolutely trying to hand this game to Seattle just like we handed the earlier fixture to them this year.

Re: Official NFL 2019
Gurley ices the game and all is well in the world once more.
Rams looking at 8-5 (barring a Russell Wilson miracle from here). Currently that Zuerlain missed sitter in week 5 is the difference between which of these teams is in the playoffs and which misses out. Hoping the Vikings come unstuck against the Bears and Packers and we can win out to sneak in anyway.

the facemask cost the Saints another 15 yards and made it an easy [ if pressurised] FG.
Why give a ridiculous pen like that right in front of the official.?
It wasn't even subtle.
He held on for seconds
Best game I've seen for while

Don't see anyone beating the Ravens from here. They will have home advantage all the way to the AFC final.

Pats have had plenty of breaks with officials in the past. Makes it very sweet for me.
My team are the Jets but when they can't win, like seeing the Packers or Steelers to do it. Steelers haven't a hope though

Yep. When they had Rex Ryan they won quite a bit, but they've been awful for years nowblindcider wrote:iarmhiman wrote:Didn't see it all. I love me some good droughts. What with the Cubs, White Sox, and Red Sox winning the World Series, they've been in shorter supply recently.

I think Brady has finally gotten old. But I think Kyle Shanahan can figure out a way to slow him down if they meet in Miami.
Baltimore had all the advantages the other week - home field, cold northern venue, pissing rain etc - and could only win with a last second FG.
Both teams can get better having had a look at each other, I just think SF might find that wee bit more.
Superbowl weather should be warm and the pitch will be grass - both are what SF normally experience, not Baltimore.
Re: Official NFL 2019
I would've said the 49ers but Jackson is so much better than Garropolo the Ravens shade it.iarmhiman wrote:Baltimore are the most complete team.

Re: Official NFL 2019
On the flip side, if Jackson gets injured then the ravens are goosed. If Garropollo gets injured, then it ain't necessarily so for the niners. Shanahan is the key for that organisation.
Re: Official NFL 2019
The Ravens rely heavily on their run game and Jackson’s scrambling. I think a team with a strong front 7 could shut them down. The Steelers lost to them in OT with Mason Rudolph starting. Their starters will be resting in week 17 but a playoff matchup could be interesting. Pittsburgh D has been dominant since week 4, especially with QB pressure. Just held Kyler Murray to 2 rushing yards.
Re: Official NFL 2019
The Bills played them quite well yesterday (they're a sleeper too IMO). Weren't as tentative against the option as many teams have been, which I think we'll see more of going forward as teams figure them out.Bowens wrote:The Ravens rely heavily on their run game and Jackson’s scrambling. While Jackson's not a bad passer, I still don't think he'll win a game with his arm in the event that they fall behind against a playoff-caliber team.
That said, the Ravens certainly have got an interesting thing going on. While Jackson obviously deserves a lot of credit, the willingness of the Baltimore coaching staff to go all-in on this style of play, and actually kind of pull it off (at least better than I can recall at NFL-level) definitely deserves a ton of credit.
In any case, I'll believe a run-first quarterback can win a Super Bowl when I see it, and only then. Hopefully he lasts long enough to develop his passing game; he could be seriously devastating in his prime if so.
Re: Official NFL 2019
The risk for a team like the Ravens (or 49ers), where they sort of come out of nowhere to be good, is that at around this stage of the season teams start figuring them out. With Baltimore, the Bills had success slowing them down by stuffing the box and trusting their corners to shut the passing options down on their own. They did a pretty good job. Baltimore punted more on Sunday than in the prior 5 weeks combined. If a team with a better offense than the Bills manages something like that they could come out on top.
The 49ers seem to blow quite hot and cold this year, but their cold games have often come against bad teams and allowed them to win anyway. They are 2-2 against playoff-bound teams this year.
I think the NFC is pretty wide open right now. Not much to choose between Saints, Seahawks and 49ers & the Packers at Lambeau in the playoffs is not something any of those teams would relish (49ers still to play Rams & Seattle again, so Green Bay could well end up 1st seed). I can also see the Rams sneaking into 6th seed and having to rematch the Saints in New Orleans for the wild card game.

Re: Official NFL 2019
Pretty much all of this. Pleased we've played well to date but not sure Niners have a 'different' gear if their hand is forced. The good news, is that those 2 losses (in your 2-2 info above) have both been away, and both by a game winning field goal. But as you have said, a couple of really ordinary showings against AZ and WAS.village wrote:The risk for a team like the Ravens (or 49ers), where they sort of come out of nowhere to be good, is that at around this stage of the season teams start figuring them out. The most Raiders way to end their time at the Coliseum.

Gruden still out here punting on 4th and 1 in midfield, tho.

Fans boo the team off the field. They, the fans, deserved better.

oh heeyyy Falcons!

Re: Official NFL 2019
Horrible showing from the Rams in Dallas on both sides of the ball. Season over. Probably no bad thing, since sneaking into playoffs might allow for some crack papering. Goff was terrible today, having been good the past 2 weeks. Snead has some hard choices to make over the winter and maybe Kroenke does too since Snead's handing out of $$$ has the cupboard looking pretty bare.
Re: Official NFL 2019
Bills in the playoffs by the end of week 15. What a time to be alive!
Tre White is going to get paid. I just hope it is by the Bills.
McBeane are doing a very decent job. Hopefully they can continue to build something. With about $90m in cap space hopefully they bring in quality.

Re: Official NFL 2019
Drew Brees breaks Peyton Manning's all time Touchdown record.
Tom Brady was only only behind the record.
Somehow I find it funny that even though Brady will go past Manning's mark - he wasn't the one to actually "break" it.

Excellent defence, competent offence.
Now if they could possibly win... it probably won't make any difference to winning the division.
Pats have Bills (h) and Dolphins (h)
Bills have Cheatriots (a) and Jets (h)
Re: Official NFL 2019
If seen a few posts by fans elsewhere talking about not showing the Patriots too much of the play book. In some respects that is fair, the Patriots are likely to win the division and as 5 seed the play off road would in theory see us go there again if we beat the Texans or Titans. However, I just want us to go out there and play and see what happens. The Pats D is very good and it is another game for Allen to develop with no real consequences should things not happen for him and I am not sure our play book is that thick where we can hide plays from watching eyesYer Man wrote:It's a tremendous turnaround.Big D wrote:Bills in the playoffs by the end of week 15. I fear we will be one and done in the play offs, but if I squint at the likely play off brackets I could see a possibility of how we can win a game or two with that defence.
