Delighted for the Pat's.

Great finish by Rogers and the Packers as well

Horrible showing from the Rams in Dallas on both sides of the ball. Season over. Probably no bad thing, since sneaking into playoffs might allow for some crack papering. Goff was terrible today, having been good the past 2 weeks. Snead has some hard choices to make over the winter and maybe Kroenke does too since Snead's handing out of $$$ has the cupboard looking pretty bare.

Your Rams almost did it against SF. They looked a lot better!

Yeah we were hot and cold all season long. Losses to bad teams (Tampa, Pittsburgh, Dallas) and a missed makeable game winning FG against Seattle cost us dearly.

Still, some positives to take from the year: Tyler Higbee set a franchise record for tight end yards this season (which says more about the Rams attitude to that position over the years more than anything), some of our less storied OL stepped up later in the year and Kupp was awesome.

I'm not sure if Brandon Cooks poor form is temporary or the new normal (yet another concussion this year, the dude probably should retire) and I'm also not sure if Gurley was just playing within himself to manage his knee or if he's just permanently lame. He was still a decent back this year, but certainly not justifying the $$$. Same can be said for Goff, who is a solid NFL starter but unlikely to grow into a HoFer from here. I still believe we can challenge for the playoffs next year in our new home though, and 9-7 is still a great record by the poor standards of typical Rams seasons.

I'd like to point out that there was a big crowd at the Coliseum today for a meaningless game against a small market team. The myth that LA fans don't love and support their Rams is just that, a myth. Next year they will be in a shiny new stadium, I hope Snead can ensure its got a competitive home team.

So on to the playoffs! For once I won't be in "Anyone but the Pats" mode, because those gold-diggers from northern California are somehow back. Anyone but the f**king Niners please guys.

I think Brady maybe has one more year left. Problem is, Bill has probably a lot more. Brady wants/needs the pats to go all out and get some serious playmakers, Bill doesn't want to do that because it will f up the future salary cap.

Not to worried that we have to play the Titans, but no chance we can win the SB this year.

Yea, I can't see this team winning three in a row, including the Chiefs and Ravens AWAY. Even with a good Offence, that is a very tall order.

68K is pretty good for the second largest city in the country, playing their final home game in the Coliseum, as a +.500 team and still reigning NFC champs.

Less than Carolina and only a bit more than Jacksonville got yesterday, but not bad.

Let's see how it looks after a couple losing seasons. It's the Rams, so I suspect we'll get to find out.

They should never have left LA, but there's a reason hardly anybody missed them.

There could be worse years to have no first and no qb, would grab any of Dalton, Mariota, Cam happily and shouldn't be too much competition for them.

Chiefs Saints SB please.

Brady should walk away from the game this season. Don't think New England will want him for next season anyway.

Depends on what the missus wants. Remember, she makes more money than he does.

Consolation prize is that we went five places higher in the draft order (and Denver five places lower) on that batted pass.
Some times there are losses that don't hurt so much.

She probably earns a bit more in endorsements than him but overall he probably earns way more than her. Anyway I doubt money would be the deciding factor.

Don't see much reason for Brady to walk away tbh, his performance hasn't diminished much...they just need to get him a few decent targets to throw to, particularly at TE. Everyone out here is holding out hope for a Return of the Gronk. Maybe if NE falls flat on their face in the playoffs he'll reconsider...

I follow the highlights on YouTube in a passing fashion, and did enjoy the commentator's verdict on the travails of Cincinnati, "And with that, the Bengals secure the first round draft pick."

So, seahawks, niners and then probably the saints for the championship. Can’t see us beating the Ravens in the super bowl though.

Chiefs with Mahomes are a chance.
Almost all of their loses came when he was injured. Defence has lifted from last year. Will need something special in the playoffs

Ravens with a Lamar Jackson on fire are big favourites surely?

Ravens vs Chiefs final... can that happen?

AFC championship final, but one or the other for the Super Bowl.

AFC Playoff fixtures (higher seeded team have home advantage):

(6) Tennessee Titans @ New England Patriots (3)
(5) Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans (4)

then

lower ranked winner (probably Houston) @ Baltimore Ravens (1)
higher ranked winner (probably New England) @ Kansas City (2)

New England are used to having a bye in the first round of playoffs.
Not going straight back into action, with an injury hit team that is only 4-4 over the second half of the season.
And not great against the run, now facing the NFL leading rusher.
But still, Ryan Tannehill doesn't scare Bill Belicheik...

NFC Playoff fixtures (higher seeded team have home advantage):

(6) Minnesota Vikings @ New Orleans Saints (3)
(5) Seattle Seahawks @ Philadelpia Eagles (4)

Eagles, as division winners, are seeded above the Vikings and the Seahawks despite winning fewer games.
They are extremely vulnerable. Saints are the best team playing this weekend.
then

lower ranked winner (Seattle?) @ San Francisco 49ers (1)
higher ranked winner (Saints) @ Green Bay Packers (2)

Best two teams, right now, are Baltimore and San Francisco.
KC and NO are probably their biggest threats.

Although I still won't discount the Patriots until they've been buried at a crossroads with a stake through their heart.

Former Bengals and Bucs coach Sam Wyche has died.

Once did this great speech mid-game to the crowd. https://youtu.be/yJMa20xXykI

I like the Bills over the Texans. Good football team.

Still taking the Pats over the Titans but stranger things have happened.

Seahawks to win, Vikings-Saints a tossup.

Could see Seattle winning in SF, giving the Packers two home games to make the SB. If the Vikings pull it out though, I'd back SF. As for the AFC, the Chiefs aren't good enough, the Pats are past it (at least without picking up more offensive weapons), and the Bills aren't ready. The Ravens have the inside lane with their great defense and against-the-grain offense. This is their chance though as the other teams have yet to adjust. If they falter this year, don't expect them to be champions anytime soon.

So with all that said, Green Bay-Baltimore Super Bowl I think.
