The Amlin is:

Gloucester, Worcester, Bath, Wasps, Biarritz and Stade, with Leinster/Munster & Toulouse/Leicester.

If Leinster get in, they'd walk it (guaranteeing Connacht another year of HEC rugby) as their strongest competition if they get in - Toulouse - won't give a toss given the timing of the final and the Top14 playoffs (week between the QF and SF).

So Saracens stadium is renovating an old ground with capacity 10,000 :?
Had imagined it would be a flashy new big stadium!
Would probably try and go over if we ended up playing them in the Quarters
Henry SOB and Heaslip were brilliant today
Have to start that 3 against Wales
Actually quite a few seem to be coming into form just in time for 6N :o

What's the weather/pitch going to be like. That's about the only thing that'll count against you. The gods have taken care of the only other obstacle with ROG's suspension.
Cold and dry, pitch should still be firm enough at that time of the day, maybe the rugby Goda have conspired for us,RoG gone and a hardish pitch.

I'm off to flaglate myself for thinking such things are good for Munster rugby.

best of luck in the plate...

PaulDoranJones made the bolded post back in December after the Saints beat Ulster. Obviously Stephen Ferris took exception to it and replied 4 weeks later.

Dan Tuohy retweeted it yesterday as well. #Backfire :D

For the Connacht lads, met Eoin McKeon yesterday. He knows a few of my mates through Galwegians.

He is one sound lad, not as big as I thought he would be but he might just take me in a fight.
Said the training the lads did this week was cruel, Elwood was so so angry about Connachts breakdown work v Quins that they did shit loads of work on it. Might explain how they were so sloppy v Zebre

I'd say it's more to do with the dropping of BoD.

Don't remember much furore when he was named interim captain in November.

Fanning gives a bit of an insight into what it's like to interview him, then gives an example and compares him to rory best,

So they hate him as captain because he's hard to interview?

He compared Best and Heaslips reactions when Ireland where knocked out of the RWC. Suggested Bests was more appropriate. Means fudge all. Let the lad be and let him get on with it

From what i hear, heaslip is meant to be a pretty sound fella, which makes all the media/munster hate of him pretty odd.

odriscoll and best both had shite games yesterday so he is definitely in the best form of all 3 potential captains.

Pretty pathetic article from Fanning.

The reaction to Heaslip is bizarre considering the omerta around Deccie's incompetence for the past couple of seasons.

He had a beer after a game! A beer! Why wasn't he self-flaggelating!?

It's pathetic.

Exactly. Snidey plum. He seems to think the players should make more of a fuss of the journalists.

Well good to see so many Irish players coming back into form hopefully Kidinme won't ruin that- After Madigans excellent cameo at scrumhalf yesterday he now cover 9,10 and fullback plus his kicking has been decent this year but No matter I am sure ROG will be still be benching :frown:

Yep was thinking aut that during the week, Court got MOM in last weeks game, I think he has been one of the unsug heros for Ulster this year, been impressed with him? Courts is definitely the better scrummager of the three but lacks the ball carrying of the other two, though. If we could improve the scrummaging of the other two it would fantastic.

Lets not go pretending Madigan's the next big thing at 9, though i do think the lad could have a future there, especially given the chronic genetic inability of Irish people to play scrumhalf.

There's no question that there are 3 or 4 out halves better than Radge. At least.

 Wasn't even suggesting he could play her but he did actually do quite well and has a decent pass - just trying to think other outhalfs who have moved to 9 - Michalak or did he start off as a 9- piennar obviously plays both

Say what you want about Fanning but he is perhaps the only rugby journalist in Ireland with a decent profile who has no agenda. He has absolutely no fear of making enemies.

It's fairly refreshing alright. Franno obviously has his own agenda but he's also not afraid to piss anyone off.

Must be that himself and heaslip have bad blood and he had nothing to lose by criticising him. It's hardly a smart career move .

Have to say I'm disappointed with the makeup of the Irish squad. Kidney's Leinster bias is sickening; 3rd best province in the country, yet they've the most players in the squad. Very disappointing.

See a headline from the Irish independent that another 4 Munster players have been called up to the Irish squad, although the link doesn't work so I don't know which 4.

Didn't take Kidney long to react though, did it? :uhoh:

What's wrong with players from a HEC QF qualified team being called up? They're obviously of a high standard.
