Olive Foley and Quinny on the Late Late soon, probably closest we'll get to rugby this weekend.

A SF politician changing her views after seeing which way the populist wind was blowing? Say it ain't so!
Michelle is concerned. Any outbreak in the schools would limit her choice of future partners.

This Tim O’Connor lad has his finger on the pulse!

To see the sheer energy and time invested by otherwise perfectly decent and sensible English rugby men into defending grabbing another player’s genitals is not only to get an insight into how Brexit happened but to realise it might be for the best, overall...

Surfing TuneIn for something to listen to as I nod off. Good interview with Heaslip on RTE just started.

Irish indo reporting Ian Madigan to Ulster

Think that would be a good move for all involved

If he can get regular gametime you’d think he’d fancy his chances of picking up a few more caps. I know his time away hasnt gone to plan but the cupboard is pretty bare at 10

No thanks
I’d rather develop our own
Madigan was quality but he has been rotting in the reserves for three years now and has shown zero ambition we are not a retirement home

We did a good job getting Marty Moore back to playing quality rugby, hope we can do the same with Madigan. Plus he can't be any worse than Faddes.

And we'd rather his back up wasn't a soon to be 31 year old journey man from Dublin who has barely played in 2 years.

If he was coming in as a fullback it wouldn't be such an issue.

I hope he is coming in to play the position which Lowry doesn’t.

If he doesn’t hinder Lowry getting game time then I don’t mind.

On a separate note, how many seasons is that in a row we have signed a non-Ulster 10?

The Cheltenham returnees will be treated like the returning soldiers to Ireland after WW1. They will be shunned and ostracised.

Or worse, except the data are inconclusive of how long the virus can survive on tar or feathers.

09 GS game highlights on TV3 now, English 18 game on next

By today's laws TOL would have had 2 yellows in the first 20 minutes

Will this see any careers ended? Were there many players expected to bow out at the end of this season?

All we need is a Connacht born 10 and we have an out half in our squad from every province

At Ulster? Anyone even close to retirement went last year.

Based on this year I could see Ludik going and Madigan fitting in as a back three player. That’s probably the only player, off the top of my head, who could potentially retire. Out squad is reasonably young.

Our academy isn't producing enough quality players so we have to get them from somewhere. Lowry can't stay fit, otherwise I'd assume he would have got game time at 10.

Madigan strengthens our squad, plus we have a coach who doesn't take any shit and seems to get the best out of players. He isn't going to be on massive money coming to Ulster, we don't have that much to splash out.

I’ll be honest I never rated Madigan as a 10. I always felt Jimmy got too much flack during his time at Leinster. Madigan was younger and had more dynamism to Jimmy, but Jimmy was a better 10. Jimmy wasn’t perfectly suited to Leinster’s game plan though.

Ludik would be one of our best players this season, I thought he was done last season but really stepped up this year. If his body can stick it, wouldn't be annoyed if he got another year.

Jimmy got a lot of the blame for MOC. When he left he nailed down the starting spot at Wasps. Madigan struggled to get that outside of Leinster.

Fair enough, 12 anytime I checked when someone said he was playing well!
