The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Byrne shovelled shit ball on while standing on our dead ball line.
Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
In the end it could have ben far worse. They got one try out of nothing and really smashed us in defense.
We desperately need a ball playing 10.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Ireland can hardly get rid of their coach in this climate.
We're stuck with this for a while yet.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
The scoreline was flattering, that could have been a lot worse.
England won the game in the first half and just soaked up a lot of huff and puff in the second half.
Our pack look completely disorganised and toothless from the 5m line.
I'd give Farrell the benefit of the doubt if he was a new coach but he knows these players and the team look worse now than they did at the World Cup.

Especially the non-Munster players

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
8 minutes for Billy Burns after Ross Byrne stank the place out for 72 minutes.
This nonsense is very frustrating. Burns isn’t the future but fcuk me Byrne was mince.

It's absolutely on the players as well.
A lot of them aren't up to it at HEC level.

1 player and 1 player alone should never be seen in green again

Lads, I went for a bike ride and then made pancakes for the kids. Are we shit at rugby again, or is it worth my while watching the extended highlights on youtube?

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
I’d much rather focus on players ceilings rather than floors. Ross has a low ceiling. Solid player, would play a million games in the premiership, but he isn’t capable of the step up. I’d rather throw away a couple of games finding out what the lads below are capable of.Willie Falloon wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 5:56 pmIreland and Leinster need to concentrate on his brother, much higher ceiling
If this central contact stuff is worth anything, Healy and Harry Byrne will start every big game for Munster and Leinster for the rest of the season. Only Carbery can interrupt their development at this stage, if I’m making the decision.

What's John Plumtree up to these days?
Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Yes he did. He was a literal empty jersey that Murray had to resort to completely bypass. Once we started ignoring him, we started to get some gainline. Then Billy Burns made a great try when he came on.

Byrne
POM
Roux
Shouldn’t be anywhere near next weeks team
Kelleher needs another go for his own sake
Cooney must be given a shot
Need something more creative in midfield

It's both. Shit approach, shit execution.

Farrell is proud of Ireland.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Farrell is delusional. He thinks Ireland should be proud of themselves.

What was our gameplan today?
Anyone?
Anyone?
Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Farrell was such an obviously wrong choice when it was made. I’d be disappointed if the consensus here wasn’t disgust at the time of announcement

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Does Mike Catt actually coach the team? As in coach some form of an attacking strategy, because that looked like drills you'd run warming up.
