The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Jebus, I would love to see Irish forwards and backs running onto the ball at speed.
Are we the only international side that doesn't attempt this??

attn: Zappa,
I need to check out of here after many years of posting - can you do the needful please?
Special mention to the likes of Mullet, ER, DP, Cammy, stats, TSG et al ..... some great discussions and always plenty of humour on this and the Nama thread.
I might lurk in the background in the future, but given that many on here would already know who I am in the real world, and a few others on here lack the discretion not to reveal personal details, its better than I depart.
I'm involved in a new venture that's increasingly attracting media attention, and I'd rather not face the risk of cross-over or blowback from here to there.
Mullet has my email if I ever need to be called back here to give evidence or clear my name
I'll post this on the NAMA thread too for completeness
See ya lads - Happy Christmas to all ..... I've really enjoyed the craic.

Half of the time you were a half decent poster, all the best.
Let us know how you are getting on, obviously when it is appropriate to do so.

Yeah well Longford's a kip, sniff.
Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Only saw it now but it was a stonewall yellow and I wouldn't be shocked to have seen a red with the current interpretations.
Did they not even get a penalty for it? That's mental

Match day.
Hard to muster up much interest in this one.

Sunday afternoon kickoff, we'll all still watch it.
But tbh more interested in the team annoucement for tomorrow. Quins & Clermont on half century away wins and lads need gametime. Roll on the real 6Ns.

MUNSTER: Matt Gallagher; Calvin Nash, Dan Goggin, Damian de Allende, Darren Sweetnam; JJ Hanrahan, Nick McCarthy; Josh Wycherley, Rhys Marshall, Stephen Archer; Fineen Wycherley, Billy Holland (Capt); Jack O’Donoghue, Chris Cloete, Gavin Coombes.
Replacements: Diarmuid Barron, Liam O’Connor, Keynan Knox, Thomas Ahern, Jack Daly, Craig Casey, Ben Healy, Seán French.
Great to see the bench loaded with young lads, a step in the right direction.

Hopefully McCloskey has a big game. With not many line breakers in our team, he is exactly what we need if we are going to employ the current tactics with a lightweight pack. Henshaw and Aki can truck it up but rarely make yards or offload.

It's on Channel 4 in the UK. Best and Corbisiero in the studio, Kearney and Stringer in the stadium.
Not exciting, but not offensive either.
