With Joey Carbery out injured and looking like a real doubt for the World Cup

Does this mean the thinking has changed and Carbery is more likely to miss the WC than was thought before?

Byrne can't have a better chance than starting with essentially a full strength team anyway.

What's Kleyn's sister look like for the obligatory crowd shots during the matches. Allanah has big shoes to fill

I'm at a wedding this Saturday so unlikely I will see any of this live. Big thing for me is the pack needs to be a level above what we saw in the 6N.

Kleyn, Stander and Aki.

Pretty embarrassing for a proud rugby nation all the same.

1 Munster man in the starting team is pretty dire.

As I've predicted, it looks like it's going to be between Beirne and Ruddock for a spot on the plane. Kleyn is also filling in again at tighthead lock beside Henderson; Henderson has a decent chance to put himself forward as first-choice loosehead lock after Toner's poor performance last week.

Both McGrath's being given every chance despite poor performances two weeks ago. It looks like Schmidt is preferring McGrath at LH ahead of Kilcoyne despite of their respective performances in the last year.

Wasn’t expecting quite so many of the same players to be involved as were against Italy. I count 12 in total.

So who hasn't been named in either 23 yet?

Kilcoyne, Ryan, Conan, Sexton, Henshaw, Earls with Ryan, Earls and Sexton namechecked during the week as having niggles.

Don't agree with his first point, nearly all teams defend like that on the tryline and winger should easily make it over to cover conway.
Looking like T Beirne putting himself forward as impact sub, it also helps he can cover both locks plus 6 and 8.

This weekend is first choice bar the injuries so that'll start all the big games now I reckon. With Sexton and Ryan coming in.

That’s a really tasty English backrow. I think we have the edge in the front 5 though

Will be shocked if that's the team we see on Saturday, Eddie has changed it up on the Friday night for last two games and there are a good few lads in that squad apparently carrying knocks. High level 4D chess Eddie mind games of course..... :uhoh:

Basically first choice aside from Mako who’s only back from injury so they’re starting him from the bench. Interesting that Curry is firmly the blindside now that Underhill is back. Pretty savage team. You’d have to fancy them at home especially without Sexton or Ryan.

Ryan was bloody useless against the white Orcs last time out, too small to play lock against that set of brutes

Hope Rory has a better day throwing than he did against England in Dublin.
Will Cronin get a run? After his mare the last time out. Hope he does.

Hope best, and all the boys go well.

Still suspect Conan might be our 8.
