You should know by now that putting a smiley after a point in a debate is a checkmate move. As a Swissman, I'm feeling pretty darned smug that we're still in the comp in spite of only having 47 registered players, 13 of whom are cows.

Jesus you're touchy this morning. I was simply pointing out that this is rugby site. Until/if Bill shows up you're not going to find more than a mildly disappointed pigdog here. The Sun God wrote:What's so f**king funny ?London_Lurker wrote:Last time I remember playing them at Rugby we won by about 100 points so clearly their ability is restricted to football. The Sun God wrote:And Uruguay have neither. Heineken cup final today. Not even a match thread to be found on the PR forum. Well done lads you took a brilliant competition and made it irrelevant. Top work.

Yes tears, as any true rugby supporter would have for the demise of his once great competition. It gave us some classic matches I think Tigers Wasps was probably the best club game I’ve ever seen. Now it’s a competition dominated by artificial clubs with no supporters and nobody gives a shit. Top work.bimboman wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 12:47 pmDuff Paddy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 12:43 pm Heineken cup final today. Not even a match thread to be found on the PR forum. Exeter are about as good an example of a real club with real supporters you could find, cheer for them.

Re: Achtung supporters of the spiv model
I will of course be supporting them but I barely even knew the match was on today - comparing that to the heyday of the competition when there would have been a big build up. The decision to split the broadcasting rights was absolutely catastrophic for the competition in this country at least. Do we have any Exeter supporters on the board? Not even a match thread - says it all.

Says that there’s not too many supporters on here, maybe if it was a large region being represented they’d be more.

The match is at 4, lots will watch it, racing probably too good , but it’s a fine club effort.

I ordered from a local restaurant. They are take away only as they have no outdoor seating area. Trying to support local restaurants where possible.

Re: Achtung supporters of the spiv model
That might have more to do with the mess that is half the board f**king off to another forum in fear this board would go at any second and the fact Rugby on TV here is split between so many channels it's more likely people are out to watch it in some capacity, plus as opposed to any particular nations interaction with the tournament. Also there are hardly any Exeter or Racing fans here are there? Partly due to Exeter being relative new as a elite club and people already having their loyalties elsewhere.Duff Paddy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 12:43 pm Heineken cup final today.
