I had seen that. I was more interested in how they are using the system on race day. Any reports?

Everyone talking about Ferrari engines - but those strange smokes coming out from Russel car during that quick lap? Did not seem dodgy to anyone?
Anyway great lap for sure

100% ruled out by Horner yesterday, so probably

Definitely RB will call Vettel back

So much for Hungary doesn't favour Mercedes as much as Austria

Front row - Mercedes

Daylight

Moonlight

Israelite

Fanny by Gaslight

2nd Row - last year's Mercedes

3rd row Ferrari - I guess this will be considered a good result

4th - 10th row - Others

Goodish Day for Ferrari and they have a good pool of juniors in F2 with Ilott and Schwartzman both 1 and 2 in the standings too.

Russell - wtf man what a great lap

Merc dominating for the 8th season in a row is getting tedious.

They clearly have the best engineers power unit... Everything really... Bht by god its tedious.

Couple of seasons ago Ferrari were favourites for most of the season. It was a strange season. Ferrari had the better car but Hamilton built up a big lead as they kept making mistakes. Even with his big lead Ferrari were still favourites because the Merc just couldn't match up. That was Vettels worst year in F1 for me.

Watched the race live.

The guy is operating on a different level. Crashes out and ends up in 13/14th,and then 15 laps later he's in second place again

Even as a Rossi fanboi...Marquez is just from a different planet.

Glad he didn't win though 8)

Was my first race I've watched.

I knew a few names Rossi, Marquez and Quartararo but after that. Didn't see Cal Crutchlow in the field? Did he retire or did I just miss it? Morbidelli also I noticed.

Marquez was mad. First couple of laps on Verales? arse, sends it into the gravel... down to 14th.. 15 laps later up to 2nd then has a monster crash. What a mentally fast motorcyclist he is.

That was thdvtear where even AlanBengio conceded that Hamilton had made the difference.

It's not been 8 years of Merc having the outright best car all the time - but when it hasn't been top dog Hamilton has been

It was foul, the pins in my arms from crashes tightened as I watched it :(( Looks like he broke his upper arm clean in half.

He is but the fact he has been on the dominant bike for his whole career will tarnish his legacy, even if he surpasses the record the fact he only ever did it on one bike says alot.

Moto GP and F1 are both so boring these days with his and Mercedes dominance.

He crashed before the race.

As an aside this is the worst crash I have seen in Moto Gp, pretty sure he walked away from it uninjured

There's really no reason to watch F1 this year. I've deleted the Hungarian Grand Prix off my DVR without watching it. Especially when someone as worthless as Lance Stroll can but his way to 4th using an illegal car.

I see some sources are suggesting Hulkenberg as a replacement, even though Racing Point supposedly have an agreement in place to run either Gutierrez or Vandoorne.

I have no idea how the politics stack up but it would make sense from the point-of-view that the Hulk is vastly experienced.

This has been something other people have mentioned before. The Honda has basically been designed and engineered solely for Mark. Honda have definitely made a strategic decision to place their focus on the riders championship rather than the constructors. That means they don't really care that after Marquez the next best Honda is usually somewhere between 6-10th and all of their other riders have consistently - and diplomatically - complained that the bike is unrideable and also fairly dangerous. As sad as it is (and painful) to see a rider get hurt, I think everyone except Repsol Honda and Dorna are pretty pleased that at least this season it's fairly likely we might have a new champion. Quatarraro is the best bet because Vinales seems to be a bit of a pussy and can't handle any sort of fight, Rossi is just too old to consistently finish on the podium, and Dovizioso can't qualify.

Frankly though, whatever Mark does in his career, he won't be able to pass Rossi in terms of respect, appeal, and longevity. Rossi is MotoGP.

They must be very confident in their bio-security measures to name a replacement driver and carry on with the race meeting.
Back in Melbourne, 2 McLaren mechanics testing positive was enough to send everyone running for the hills.

Begs the question though - if the bubble is so secure...how did Perez get infected in the 1st place?

Because the bubble works for mechanics and the rest of the staff. Drivers can brake the rules whenever they want, aks Leclerc and Bottas

Yea better he stops checking his IPhone as Marko could call any moment...
Not better than Gasly - with the additional blunder that when he had his chances he blew it in the most spectacular way (like in Austria when he could have won the race)

Albon is an incredible driver, but others are more incredible.

As I have written before RB signed the wrong Brit

He's a Brit Nardol.

Fecking listen to him ffs. Represents thailand for his mum, hasn't made a bothering about saying otherwise. It's also for financial and commercial reasons. Easy market to hit especially with Vietnam on the grid.

Incredible driver?
He won nothing afte karting experience, if my memory serves me well! Probably kept into Red Bull family only because of lack of drivers (but this is just my opinion). Lots of good press about him (in UK) and lack of results - if that is a benchmark for incredible drivers, then everyone is an incredible driver out there

The moment you will be able to put aside the "britishness" factor from your judgments, you'll see how an average driver Albon in fact is

I did my races I am fairly confident I would have beaten Albon, Vettel, Hamilton et all but that is not the point I think

BTW Hamilton like Gilles

BTW very poor call by Verstappen... trowing to ashes the only chance to win this year probably

TV commentators just said there could be investigation for Hamilton, because there is a Giovinazzi precedent where it was deliberated you have always to enter the pit when having a flat tire - cannot cross the finish line
Meh
Gilles Villeneuve would not agree

Any additional info about that?

The only Giovinazzi incident I can even find was one where he got a warning for continuing to drive round the track to the pit lane when he got a puncture during practice.

Did the commentators add any more detail to the precendent?
