The wet really shows the class of some drivers.

Racing Point could be in a spot of bother here.

Renaults appeal has been given merit by the FIA and they’ve impounded the brake ducts and asked mercedes for their brake ducts for checking. Could be interesting to see where this goes.

Strange if it's not an upgrade as the FIA went all over that car to make sure it wasn't a Mercedes clone.

Short video on the problems at Ferrari.
If they can't sort out the aero problems soon then they're screwed for the season.
Engine is way down on pace and cannot be modified in-season.

But who will make way? The boss's son or the better driver? I saw a suggestion that Stroll could do a season as tester to make way - would be a strong team, with some exciting misjudgements to come.

What do other drivers think of Stroll?

Well, he's a pay driver, and in many ways the ultimate pay driver. But he was good enough to be an F3 champion and not many make it that far.

He's aso made it to a podium at 18 years old, even with the caveat of it being in a Williams much faster than the current car

There have been many worse pay drivers, but he probably doesn't justify his place in a team that's making real moves to be best of the rest, of even better than that

Edit - to finish that thought, I think most other drivers respect him at least as much for the fact that he can compete with them without regularly taking them out, unlike a certain Venezuelan

I dislike any driver who has a daddy that bought a team for him to race.

Problem is perez is also a pay driver.

Lots of drivers bring sponsorship with them. When Alonso was at McLaren he was technically a pay driver

So Perez brought money to the team through sponsorship
Then he saved the team from drowning, actually triggering the procedure that facilitated Lawrence Stroll taking over
Along that, he regularly beat Hulkengerg, Ocon, Stroll
And now he is a risk of losing the seat

Great for F1
