My apologies. It's something very familiar here and therefore like seeing a car drive by (I have a large public lawn in front of the house), interesting how some things are common in one society can be so alien in another.Kiwias wrote:Some kids having fun on a grass field, something one rarely sees here in Japan but that is second nature to most of us.
To all those reading more into the photo than that, I suggest you look at yourselves.

Why is that you can't look at a group of kids having fun without slinging the 'paedo' label?waguser wrote:
there is nothing obviously amusing or entertaining about the picture in and of itself.
There seems to be a touch of the pedo vibe creeping in about the place.
Go fudge yourself.

There is nothing wrong with looking at kids playing but posting a picture of unknown young teenage girls wrestling with each other in uniform on an Internet forum for so called entertaiment purposes is entirely different.Kiwias wrote:Why is that you can't look at a group of kids having fun without slinging the 'paedo' label?waguser wrote:

What age is acceptable for a photo of kids having fun, pray tell me, mr Normal?
Report me you snide little fudge if it upsets you that much
Otherwise go back to your knitting
Re: The Entertaining Pics Thread (definitely with NSFW conte
When in a hole stop digging, you are just coming across as creepy to say the least. You see where I come from having and enjoying pictures of kids on your computer that are not connected to you is very very dodgy.Kiwias wrote:

Re: The Entertaining Pics Thread (definitely with NSFW conte
It was on imgur or something like it and, given that I am actively involved in promoting the conversion of playfields and kindergarten grounds from dirt to grass, this is exactly the sort of photo I show to convince the anti-grass brigade here that grass is more fun.Saint155 wrote:When in a hole stop digging, you are just coming across as creepy to say the least. If you were that concerned about "kids having fun" on the grass because there isn't much in Japan, why was it that you posted a picture of young girls with lots of leg and thigh showing, was that the only picture you could find?
Here's one

here's another

Both would have fulfilled your requirements without getting the reaction yours has, yet you say the one's questioning your picture should look at themselves...really???

tbf, you got more that enough attention. An explanatory sentence could have avoided confusion. Otherwise, I hope you succeed in your campaign. Gratifying seeing kids having unregulated fun outdoors.

Hey, it was a photo I happened to come across and it expressed the untramelled joy of playing on grass that comes naturally to us and is sadly missing from life in Japan.jambanja wrote: I think you posted the picture to get a reaction...not sure why though

I found it genuinely entertaining, with none of your ludicrous interpretations.

Its all about content and context. This content in this context invites scrutiny.Saint155 wrote:There is nothing wrong with looking at kids playing but posting a picture of unknown young teenage girls wrestling with each other in uniform on an Internet forum for so called entertaiment purposes is entirely different.Kiwias wrote:Why is that you can't look at a group of kids having fun without slinging the 'paedo' label?waguser wrote:

Re: The Entertaining Pics Thread (definitely with NSFW conte
Its not very complicated. The picture that is remarkable only for in its ordinariness- it would not be out of place on my daughter's fb page. Were there a pink elephant in a tutu in the clouds above; a mole in a bowler hat shooting skeet in the foreground or if it had some photographic merit it would be be obviously "entertaining" and perfectly appropriate to this thread. Since it is not obviously enetertaining it invites scrutiny as to why someone would post it.ASMO wrote:echo wrote:Its all about content and context. Unmitigated bullshit if i may be so bold...what context are we talking about here? Bear in mind there are many many non NSFW images on this thread, does that mean they are all in "bad taste" or have some sort of seedy undertone...do f**king get over yourselves, that moral high ground you are standing on looks decidely shaky.
Re: The Entertaining Pics Thread (definitely with NSFW conte
You are quote correct, it is highly uncomplicated. A group of friends are having fun, probably at lunch time, out in the playing fields at their school. A photo has captured the momentecho wrote: Its not very complicated. The picture that is remarkable only for in its ordinariness- it would not be out of place on my daughter's fb page. Put into the context that 95%+ of school grounds in teh country where I live are like this, you may understand that a photo such as the one I posted earlier is 'entertaining' in a totally innocent sense

If you can't understand that, fine.

Everyone is over reacting here, but understandably so on both sides. A simple explanation was sufficient as to the picture, and was supplied, and a simple explanation of why the picture was questioned in the first place was also required and supplied. Both sides understandable, both fair points. No need for anyone to get pissy on either side so calm down.

Re: The Entertaining Pics Thread (definitely with NSFW conte

Fed up with their neighbour's antics, people who have been driven round the bend by a boy racer's inconsiderate driving have taken matters into their own hands.
They hoisted 24-year-old Zbigniew Filo's car into a willow tree in Lubczyna, Poland, shaming into promising to change the way he drives.
Locals are keeping tight-lipped over who put the Ford Escort into the tree, but have admitted that one of the villager's mobile cranes was borrowed to carry out the mission under the cover of darkness.
Now shamefaced Filo has promised to change his driving style.
'I get the message, but I think it was a bit harsh,' he said.
Re: The Entertaining Pics Thread (definitely with NSFW conte
Seriously, what is your f**king problem with that photo? It's a bunch of kids playing on a field. How the fudge anyone can think that is sexual? You're probably one of those clowns that get uptight of people taking photos on their children in a public playground.Saint155 wrote:Kiwias wrote:echo wrote:

Exactly TB, if anything this thread needs more jailbait.

I have a couple of BIG problems with your previous post .
1 The grass is obviously lacking in potassium
2 No f**king proper goalposts to be seen ..

Re: The Entertaining Pics Thread (definitely with NSFW conte
Love these two shots. Kids in unstructured play is one of the most wonderful things to behold. (Wish it happened more often, whether it be getting them away from the idiot box or telling the coaches to shut their yaps and just let them have fun.)Kiwias wrote:I find photos of kids having fun on grass very entertaining. Thanks for your comments, as that was all I had in mind when I saw the photos -- kids having fun, particularly without opinionated adults getting in the way.
I use those sorts of photos when making presentations to convince local authorities to convert playing fields to grass and interestingly, the photos are far more persuasive than all the statistics about less injuries, etyc. that you can throw at people

Let them smell the mown grass , Freshly mown concrete provides very little sensory stimulation

95%+ of Japanese people have never enjoyed the smell of freshly-mown grass
