It would appear that Conor O'Shea is quite happy with his current situation, and honestly I can't see why he would think now is a good time for him to take the position. Also I think the IRFU, having a number of monetary-minded folk within their ranks, would prefer not to spend money on compensation.

Ireland were poor today, the players just didn't play anywhere near an acceptible level. Either the captain or the coaches didn't get the motivation right, and the coaches didn't have a good gameplan.

Playing like this we were always going to lose, but after the first half there was still hope. Kidney's substitutions killed any type of form we had. And the fact that he must believe that TOL and ROG can improve Ireland is utterly depressing.

Please can we get rid of Kidney; I'll come and do the coaching myself!

Funnily enough it will probably take a smashing like this for kidinme to wake to fudge up to the reality that team is in need of a fair bit of work and that he has to phase out quite a few players - and with Darcy and DOC off very early by deccie standards that could signal the end for them......TOL, ROG and sexton at 9,10,12 is one of the worst combos to ever take part in a six nations match but the fact that we ended up there at the end of the match is entirely down to kidney's conservatism - he is reaping what he has sown.

Yes I can. Remember Buckley and Hayes were still sniffing around tight head this time last year. He has not given time to any other tightheads until forced to.

DOC has been a busted flush for at least two years. England worked out that Ryan and DOC can't scrummage.

I agree with this. TOL shouldn't be under consideration for national team duty. He is a player with zero confidence and zero form. Kidinme's horrible conservatism in persisting with TOL right up to the eve of the world cup and dragging him back in for this match......ridiculous...utterly ridiculous.

Although fact is that kidinme's job is safe so we can but hope that this has rocked his stubborn beliefs to the core and he will implement some changes.

Can anyone here name different players that should have been involved?
If we can find a coach that can magic up players I'm all for him.
