Willemse cannot tackle. He might be fast but that is not enough. I said the same about the number 15. Both are liabilitiesOomPB wrote:Much better performance today. Damian & Lombaard made a huge difference in the backline. I want to see Willemse in 10 but he did well in 12. Curwin Bosch must start.

He is a specialist 10. That backline need his flair otherwise they are Kak like the previous game against France.

Well then they should play a specialist 12 who can tackle.OomPB wrote:He is a specialist 10. That backline need his flair otherwise they are Kak like the previous game against France.

You are obsessed.
Used to be a time when the Lions were their usual crapiness when you could be reasonable about judging performance.

You just watch stampkar midfielders.Sards wrote:did you watch the game....I doubt it as you were lynlooping as I was......he was atrocious....he would have run f**k fast if I was there to kick his head in with his defence.OomPB wrote:What de vok do you want. 1pt loss to France and beat Georgia pretty comfortably. They were terrible today though. Gave up early.Sards wrote:Depends on how the ARGIES have been against other sides...I must be honest I havent watched them beforesunnybanana wrote:Good performance![]()

Re: Baby Boks
They have been good, very good indeed. Lost by a point to France who scored after the hooter, and 37-26 winners over Georgia in the opening round with the home crowd really pushing their team.Sards wrote:Depends on how the ARGIES have been against other sides...I must be honest I havent watched them beforesunnybanana wrote:Good performance![]()

Junior Boks were unrecognisable from the game against France, which they really should have lost. It just shows the value of doing the basics right before trying to be too adventurous.
The semi-final will against England (likely) or New Zealand. Both undefeated, both scoring heavily throughout.

Have to agree. They seem to be clicking. Lots of praise for Curwin.Slider wrote:They have been good, very good indeed. I've never seen a baby Bok side play that type of rugby before. A talented backline, full of ball players, given license to express themselves and playing with confidence. They usually play an overly structured, dour game which underutilises their skills and relies on them simply being more physical and better organised than their opposition (which is how they played against France).
I don't think they'll win the comp but it's a refreshing change. We need to develop players who can think for themselves and back their abilities. The talent is clearly there.

Well Sunny, I wacthed these kids on schoolboy level and know they will bring change to our rugby. Sardyn jump up and down about Bosch because he play for the Sharks.sunnybanana wrote:I've never seen a baby Bok side play that type of rugby before. Vok I have seen him destroy Paul Roos on Markotter on his own playing for Grey High. Lambaard and a whole bunch of Boishaaiers (most are at the Lions) coming through the ranks. Willemse & Vermeulen from Paul Roos is just phenomenal talents.
Papier is a Malmesbury kid, poached by the Bulls since his schooldays.
They are all players of colour and need to get through our systems. Once they at senior level you'll see a much brigher future for our rugby.
Johan Grobbelaar (nr 2) played goalie with my sons hockey team at Prymary school.

If our forwards give them possession, they'll beat any team.
