Once that's out of the way then they can think about who to support. I expect many will want to support the Welsh.
And which team after that?

Yeo Ireland for me, then Aussie. , wouldn't mind if France did it. Would hate South Africa and New Zealand to win.

Bah, la belle France, comme toujours.
Japan, should they get out of the group (hoping they will)

Pragmatically, I would put a sneaky fiver on Australia, but am too cheap to do so for real.

Wales, because of their spirit in adversity last week, if certain bellends wind their necks in. Wouldn't mind seeing Ireland do it, and loved the time I spent in NZ & Oz but the latter have got on my tits with their usual pre-match media crusade so they can fudge off.

Just sold my ticket to the quarter final at Twickenham. (South Africa Vs Wales) on the official ticket website. Hopefully a genuine fan has bought it and not just putting it on the tout websites looking for profit from desperate Welsh or Saffas.

Wales are my second team but i fear that injuries will see them out too early. I hope Australia win it now. Like Cheika, Pocock and the brand of rugby they play.

To get into the spirit of it all does anyone know the name of that French song that starts (I think) 'Allez Allez...' and is often accompanied with the trumpet playing the tune?

No particular team.

I'm sure in each game there will be someone I'm backing over the other.

Hopefully the disappointment of England going out will fade so we can all enjoy some massive games in the KO rounds.

As a £5 pom in the 1950's (I was 5 at the time), I will support the country I spent 8 years in as a lad, Australia.

My avatar is the house I lived in, located in 7 Crane Street, Salisbury North, South Australia.

It is still there, not many are on that street.

Go the land of azure skies gleaming with a thousand dyes......

Scotland. They may be a bunch of unfaithful, splitter plums but I still love them, however unrequited it might be.

Besides, it'd be a shame to waste my experience of watching my team getting dumped out of the cup by Australia.

To be fair, until yesterday, that hadn't happened since 1991, so I am not sure that your experience is that extensive.

The implication of that statement is that you don't care who wins....anyone but the Blacks and the Dragons...anyone........
