Judas = Madigan, just won't do what his told and likes kissing fellas in gardens.EverReady wrote:He'd be a daycent coach alright. Had those 12 lads doing headstands for him bar the Judas fella.
He asked to be judged on it. Should be no surprise to him.de_Selby wrote:I hope Lancaster doesn't resign/get sacked, he's done so much good over the past 4 years, its a shame he's made a couple of bad calls in the WC and is going to be judged on that.
In many ways he has made england worse. sure they are more likeable with a better 'culture' apparently but the fact remains he has just presided over the worst english performance in the world cup and has not won anything in 4 years.de_Selby wrote:I hope Lancaster doesn't resign/get sacked, he's done so much good over the past 4 years, its a shame he's made a couple of bad calls in the WC and is going to be judged on that.
He's been bad with the senior squad, but he's done a lot of work throughout the English structures. He's not a head coach, but he clearly has a huge amount to offer.booze wrote:In many ways he has made england worse. sure they are more likeable with a better 'culture' apparently but the fact remains he has just presided over the worst english performance in the world cup and has not won anything in 4 years.de_Selby wrote:I hope Lancaster doesn't resign/get sacked, he's done so much good over the past 4 years, its a shame he's made a couple of bad calls in the WC and is going to be judged on that.
The much derided Martin johnson can point to a far better England coaching CV.
Johnson's 6 Nations win depended a lot on the lack of competitiveness of the other teams as well as the performances of the English side. They didn't have to win it on points difference, like Lancaster has every 6N.booze wrote:In many ways he has made england worse. sure they are more likeable with a better 'culture' apparently but the fact remains he has just presided over the worst english performance in the world cup and has not won anything in 4 years.de_Selby wrote:I hope Lancaster doesn't resign/get sacked, he's done so much good over the past 4 years, its a shame he's made a couple of bad calls in the WC and is going to be judged on that.

He'd be decent, but I want more than decent.iarmhiman wrote:Jokes aside, Would Jim Malinder be a good fit?
Not a bad call actually, but I think they'll go hunting further afield, they need someone who is just going to tear it all apart, see what works and start again.iarmhiman wrote:Jokes aside, Would Jim Malinder be a good fit?
He'd have to be one of the candidates. He has experience taking a side that is not performing and getting it to perform, he's won silverware, and it could be interesting to see what he can do with the resources of English rugby. However there are some definite questions about just how good he is, how much experience he has of test rugby (zero, I believe), and whether he can coach an England team to win consistently even when what seems to be he default strategy (run over them) is not viable.iarmhiman wrote:Jokes aside, Would Jim Malinder be a good fit?

Would be a good choice, but he's damaged goods. Not that I care TBH.croyals wrote:The people want Deano
Not sure most do, he cheated, he served his time. He's the best English coach there is by a mile and a real rugby guy, would carry the trust of the fans and is used to building a side. We could do a lot, lot worse.Mick Mannock wrote:Would be a good choice, but he's damaged goods. Not that I care TBH.croyals wrote:The people want Deano
