&@GoN - thanks, and no it's not cricket. That was about the highest-stakes most knife-edge it could get and it was still pretty dull. I was at Yankee Stadium last year and still couldn't really get into it. Plus it was USD15 for a Heineken :shock: .

The term is "fair". The infield is the area from the plate to the end of the dirt.

Not with baseball no. I've started going to an annual Superbowl thing with a couple of septic mates of mine who know the game well and I'm beginning to understand NFL.
