so what do you think will fundamentally change?
None of us really know and you don't either. What we know is the UK businesses don't want a Brexit. Businesses don't like uncertainty.

Why are the DUP voting to leave?

Interested to hear Willie Faloon's views on this. Would NI farmers stop getting their grants in the event of a Brexit?
Because it's a nice opportunity for then to drape themselves in union flags whilst shunning a closer relationship with the South, and appeal to the lowest common denominator of their electorate.

It's not confirmed.

We would be mad to get out. We have the best of both worlds. The rest is just noise.

Has all this been written into a treaty, or is it just an agreement between national leaders with no obligation upon their sucessors?

Enjoy this ladies, Terry and I in agreement is a once in a lifetime experience.

Sefton, you are rarely correct on anything but, in this case, you appear to be right which is good! Must admit the terrifying sight of Nigel Farage, George Galloway and Ian Duncan Smith leading the charge against us is a worry.

From reading those points Terry wrote. The UK never had to agree to those ever. Definitely 3/4 of those were never in place and the UK in or out of the EU will never agree to a superstate.

It's entirely characteristic of his political career to date, the man is nothing more than a petty opportunist.

Agreed - this decision was made by him as soon as Theresa May came out in favour of staying in. This is entire;y about his chances of winning a Tory party leadership election

former Tory cabinet ministers calling the current leader a liar isn't anything new

I got confused listening to Sturgeon - I couldn't work out if she was arguing for a Yes vote or a No vote

What's the significance of 23rd of June? Why did Cameron pick that date and not a weekend date?

They are still serving cabinet ministers. Sturgeon was clearly backing a yes vote :uhoh:
Even that's not that unusual

As for Sturgeon - she was more caught up in how Scotland wanted a different EU to England. Equivocal was putting it mildly

Voting in the UK is traditionally done on a Thursday. 23rd June is pretty much the earliest date it can take place from today (there are legal statutes about notification, campaigning time etc.)

So it seems quite a few conservative ministers who are in the camp don't actually like the EU but only In the camp because they don't want to go against PM or because leaving EU might be too much trouble. No one seems to actually like the EU much.

Good on Cameron for letting his MPs campaign for either camp.

Cameron is going to need the young vote as all the old farts will vote to leave.

He should have put that vote on a Saturday.

Young people don't vote.
Fear is the best motivator - just threaten the economy and the city and they'll come round.

As an aside it wouldn't be ideal for us but it would also create an opportunity as the only anglophone country in the EU, we'd definitely pinch a few jobs.

The out vote saying they can seal borders? Total fabrication

Unless they want to reintroduce border controls between Ireland and Northern Ireland. See how that goes down.

He'd antagonise a large % of the population who would accuse him of abandoning British tradition in order to appease the EU.

What would happen if the EU insisted that their borders need to be locked down out of interest?

As far as ludicrous hypotheticals go - when Scotland finally votes for independence and then applies to join the EU on their own.

Someone in the EU should get involved in some top trolling and say that in the event of Brexit they would make it really easy for an independent Scotland to join the EU

(vs last time it was suggested it would be really hard, to put off the likes of Catalonia)

Ireland would say it would bring back large scare terrorism to that part of Europe. Way too risky. Does the UK want to go down that road again?

I;m curious. Sooner or later the EU (probably Germany) is going to insist that EU borders are enforced far more rigorously than they are currently
