Players pull at each other's shirts all the time, it kind of is relevant.Torquemada 1420 wrote:"would he have caught him?"
Like that's relevant?
Re: OFFICIAL Match Thread - Scotland vs. France 6 nations 20
Is that the same TMO as Twickenham? 6 was certainly held back.

Perhaps Jackson is just happy he no longer has to ref that dirty plum Finn Russell?Carrots and Peas wrote:A bad decision goes our way?! Glorious.

You see it often, supporting runner on a line that prevents any would be tackler from getting to the ball carrier. Not that it made any real difference here.message #2527204 wrote:Obstruction? Mermoz lucky not to turn it over again there.
{EDIT} TF at least Fickou runs around players rather than at them
T-D needs to go. Permanently. Get Maestri off and Vahaa on.

Re: OFFICIAL Match Thread - Scotland vs. France 6 nations 20
Really poor defence there, players not shifting to match numbers for a good while there.
Re: OFFICIAL Match Thread - Scotland vs. France 6 nations 20
Scotland seemed short on one side there.

Re: OFFICIAL Match Thread - Scotland vs. France 6 nations 20
Fickou has done his job. Well.
Re: OFFICIAL Match Thread - Scotland vs. France 6 nations 20
France really needed that - well taken too.
Cracking game this.

Hogg would still have made it, you feel. As mentioned the cover was too slow getting there in the first place.tabascoboy wrote:You see it often, supporting runner on a line that prevents any would be tackler from getting to the ball carrier. Pretty sure France knocked on during the build-up there.
Good try, though f**king frustrating to lose.

I think it was Lauret who almost made the tap tackle at the end. Sometime cms make a difference.lemonhead wrote:Hogg would still have made it, you feel. Mainly joking but near a ruck there was a Scotsman lying in his back and a French players hand went on his face. About 1 min before I postedTorquemada 1420 wrote:Where? Ruck a couple of phases before the try. A French player sticks his hand in the face of a prone Scot. Also there was a subtle joke in my post, but pearls before swine etc...Torquemada 1420 wrote:Where? I'll rewind and look.Brazil wrote:I thought so good. Supporting runner can go where he likes as long as he doesn't grab a shirt or anything.tabascoboy wrote:You see it often, supporting runner on a line that prevents any would be tackler from getting to the ball carrier. You gain a better player and still have a massive bell end at 15. Win win really.

Re: OFFICIAL Match Thread - Scotland vs. France 6 nations 20
Players are very streetwise in this, the ref is rarely going to blow up for it unless you make contact. Visser definitely had a little look and was aware at where the defender would have to run to make the tackle so there was a little bit of gamesmanship.Torquemada 1420 wrote:I think it was Lauret who almost made the tap tackle at the end.
