Pleased that Maro's made it as there were some doubts.

Ticket sales haven't been great, as it stands I think there'll be about 9k here.

Anyway, should be a humdinger

Sarries by lots. That Saints pack looks mince.

Where is North?

Christ that Saints team is awful. Not entirely their fault admittedly, lots of concussions (although a fair few of the concussed players are pretty dreadful), but still. Burrell back at 12 is not encouraging. Has Lawes at 6 ever gone well?

Sarries Head Office really f**ked up the ticketing for this. Far too expensive with the Wembley game the week after and poorly marketed. Still, I've got my ticket and am really looking forward to this. Would be nice to exorcise a few demons.

I can see the points deficit reaching around about the 30 mark by the end of the game. Sarries are red hot right now, especially with the return of their England contingent, whereas I still think Saints are very unlikely to make the playoffs in the AP this year. A high-pressure game at Allianz Park? Saints are going to get shredded

North picked has picked up a knock, giving us an entire XV players now not available for selection

Starting 3 locks and a further 2 on the bench.

Lawes starred his Saints career at 6 a day was decent when he was younger, but we're screwed with that team

I know some of the tickets had to be expensive where they were planning to expand the two end stands which was going to cost a few quid.

Well this day got doubly shitty.

1) Can't go on a mate's stag do to Edinburgh due to my f**ked up foot

2) Means I can now watch that Saints team get destroyed on TV tomorrow night :ohdear:

Really is a transitional year. We better have some other signings in the summer otherwise we're not making top 4 for a good few years

Probably how it ought to go down but you just never know with knock out rugby. As you say we are red hot but I worry that Saints are going to slow down the game, frustrate us and see if we crack.

That is true but my tickets in the East Stand were £50 each, and far from the most expensive. Bearing in mind Wembley isn't a cheap day out either I'm not convinced they've judged this right. This could have been a great day to showcase an expanded AzP, full and in full voice, with Sarries playing great rugby

Damp squib for all concerned.

I think it's more to do with the rate at which Saints' flankers have been getting crocked. As Saint says there are 5 locks in the 23

A Euro quarter final and they can't sell out that little stadium? :?

Edit: Seen the bit on prices. Not cheap, but still with the market available to them...

Saints were sent c3000 tickets & sent over 2000 back. Bearing in mind they brought north of a thousand to the friendly here in August, I'm guessing their lot don't have any appetite....

North London is probably the most saturated sports market in the UK tbf, particularly with Arsenal and Spurs going well. bear in mind a standing ticket in the rain is costing £35 I believe. I understand the model Sarries are going for in general, small stadium, pretty full and tidy profit but it doesn't work so well when you expand the ground and don't sell the seats.

They've not expanded the stadium - because of the sales being so poor they were able to not build the extra seats.

Ah I didn't know that. Probably for the best with the game being on TV. 9,000 at AzP is a decent atmosphere tbf.

Yeah, it'll be fine. Just disappointing that it's not 15k.

I don't blame Saints supporters for not coming down in big numbers. Just annoying that the local community isn't interested unless it's £15.

Yep - I believe that the next fit flanker is 18 years old.

We genuinely could put out a matchday 15 of crocked players, with only the second row involving players out of position. The pack in particular would be way stronger than this team

Don't like the look of that Saints team one bit. Odds are we're gonna get caned. I just can't see that pack competing with Sarries.

And why has Mallinder, playing so well, been dropped for the biggest game of the season?
