Map of Irish Rugby Clubs

Post by danny_fitz »

All 224 of them!

Puts Connachts achievements into context, they have 26 clubs to draw from compared to Leinster's 71, Ulster's 60 and Munster's 67!

How many in England, 1200+?

Could probably do with a couple of mergers between the Belfast clubs.

Pretty decent spread really. Not too many holes.

It must be a pain in the arse to play Connacht junior leagues though.

Yep, just randomly looking at Sibbereen's fixture list, they have to drag their arses up to Clonmel and Old Christians!

Christ almighty.

I lived in Sandymount back in the early '90s. Not an era when any self respecting adult male would have owned up in public to being part of a Touch Club.

You know Sneachta, you should come down some Sunday morning and give it a go. The Merrion Strand Masturbators are always on the look out for new members.

Iveragh Eagles (Caherciveen) and Copeswood Gaels as well. Tramore started up two years ago.

Yep, just randomly looking at Sibbereen's fixture list, they have to drag their arses up to Clonmel and Old Christians!
Have to go to Waterpark, St Senans as well. It's a brutal trip down to Skibbereen as well.

Sorry, a tag club? Don't teams just turn up to tag leagues? Even the ones who take it too seriously with full kits etc aren't a fcuking club ffs, they're just a team that plays in social leagues

Do they have, like, car window stickers so other club members know they're up for it? Like a secret signal that this vehicle is up for hosting a bit of dogging?

I'm guessing these lads don't aspire to a clubhouse. Strike me as more the Pavilion types.

Or perhaps; Den.

They look like a lovely bunch.......although I do get the feeling that some of those lads have just signed up in order to have a crack at some of the women, much like those desperate blokes who become vegetarian in order to impress the hippie lass in the office.

The Ulster Branch couldn't find Donegal, Cavan or Monaghan on a map up until a few years ago, they are finally getting off their arses and trying to develop the game west of the Bann especially with clubs like my own (Virginia RFC) doing so well at underage.

Don't lie. I've seen your shower rock up at tag events with your popped collars and aviators. Definitely a co-ordinated effort more like a club jersey/kit than just a bunch of lads showing up for a throw about.
