Someone like Stephen Miller is an obviously absolutely abhorrent human being, but there's clearly a very powerful brain ticking away behind those lizard eyes. Just because their followers are of below average intelligence, doesn't mean the leaders of a movement are necessarily idiots themselves, and it's probably quite a dangerous idea to underestimate them like that.Whatever wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:01 pmHas there ever actually been an "intelligent fascist"? I would imagine its because it might make Trump look a little silly when he inevitably sues AZ. Especially given that it is his mates at Fox that called it. Et tu Fox, et tu.Jerome Manning wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:24 pmhttps://www.businessinsider.com.au/kush ... &r=US&IR=TJared Kushner called Rupert Murdoch in a desperate bid to overturn the network calling Arizona for Biden
Why does it matter if a Network calls it early? - it won't effect the actual result. Surely the only thing that matters is the final tally.

It harms the narrative of "we were winning and then they cheated and we were robbed", as it has added a lot to the impression that Biden is actually in the box seat. It's potentially particularly bad if it ends up with Trump winning a state that was already called for Biden.Jerome Manning wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:24 pmhttps://www.businessinsider.com.au/kush ... &r=US&IR=TJared Kushner called Rupert Murdoch in a desperate bid to overturn the network calling Arizona for Biden

So they can claim they were robbed. IMO they're planning their next move should they lose.Jerome Manning wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:24 pmhttps://www.businessinsider.com.au/kush ... &r=US&IR=TJared Kushner called Rupert Murdoch in a desperate bid to overturn the network calling Arizona for Biden

The principles behind "defund the police" are sound; focus on community interaction, social programs, promote trust between the authorities and the public etc.CrazyIslander wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:08 pmNevada counted only 10% of the votes yesterday? Independants in Nevada are giving the state to Biden, not so sure there with Arizona also narrowing.
Trump showing his true colours, and I fear for the U.S over the next couple of weeks. Senior Republics need to step in and calm this shit down. Once again Trump isn't a new force in U.S politics as some are claiming on here, he is representative of the extreme right of the Republicans, which are equalled at fault as the extreme left of the Democrats, seriously defund the Police, WTF cool aid are these muppets drinking.
Police is actually a serious problem. They're targeting people of colour. Defunding it targets certain areas such as the police union which can be sponsored by outside interests.
Trump doesn't want his base to lose hope. When he tweets STOP THE COUNT he is speaking to themJerome Manning wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:24 pmhttps://www.businessinsider.com.au/kush ... &r=US&IR=TJared Kushner called Rupert Murdoch in a desperate bid to overturn the network calling Arizona for Biden

Whilst I agree with having those programs, I thought they have that already. I think the "bad apples" are actually the problem. I don't think these officers are an anomaly but an entrenched agenda within the force. There should be a dedicated federal agency to police the police.DOB wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:34 pmThe principles behind "defund the police" are sound; focus on community interaction, social programs, promote trust between the authorities and the public etc.CrazyIslander wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:08 pmNevada counted only 10% of the votes yesterday? Calling it "Defund the Police" is the dumbest idea in the history of politics. It's basically writing your opponent's manifesto for them.
The GOP are way better at the presentation part; How could you vote against something called "THE PATRIOT ACT"? Even though its sole purpose is to allow the government to spy on its own citizens.
Your maths is wrong. Trump is up 12,764. 47,277 votes left. Biden just needs 64% (or more) to win (30,257 to Joe and 17019 + 12,764 to Trump).
I agree for PA.ticketlessinseattle wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:01 pm so by my shitty calc its 92% counted in PA with 3.238m Trump vs 3.131m Biden so Biden needs to get 60% of the 553k left to count ?
and with GA and 98% counted with 2.438 trump vs 2.425 Biden - needs to get 56% of the remaining 99k ?
Just think, If it wasn't for him, Hillary would be starting her second term now
Mick a prepper, his world view was shattered by Covid. Scoiety was supposed to collapse into a dog eat dog world with Mick surviving by his wits(snigger), drinking his own piss and warming himself by fires made of his own shit. Never happened. Trump probably his best chance at living that dream.
"Police the Police" would be a far better slogan than "Defund the police." For a start, like "Patriot Act," it's something you really can't argue with. "Why are you against policing the police? Do you want the police to be unaccountable to the people?"CrazyIslander wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:46 pmWhilst I agree with having those programs, I thought they have that already. I agree the Republicans are far better at politics than Dems, Joe should thank the Lincoln Project and those GOP groups that campaigned for him.
Yep, and 17k of the 47k is from Chatham County - which is mostly the city of Savannah. Breaking 58/41 as a county overall, but mail ins are much higher. Remainder from the Atlanta counties.Jeff the Bear wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:06 pmYour maths is wrong. Trump is up 12,764. 47,277 votes left. Looks a done deal according to that.
