Easily disproved, but only after the fact. He relies on the hope that his interviewer doesn't have enough random facts or fact checkers at their disposal to immediately contradict him. Once it's done, it doesn't matter about the follow up, he got his message out and he can dismiss anything later as fake news that he doesn't have to acknowledge or respond to, and his faithful followers won't look for either. He can lie his ass off but the rebuttal won't get a tenth of the views.

Unless he can be fact-checked in real time, it's not his problem. He knows this and has taken quite impressively good advantage of it.
