I'm looking around now for an alternative. I cannot believe OS has been permabanned, but then, I got a ridiculous warning for just identifying a chap in a group "inappropriately".

As a life-long active opposer of apartheid, that really stuck in my craw.

Jake has been pretty clear that the forum exists out of the goodness of the hearts of the main site owners. Most here never use it, so this place is a drain on resources.

So I wouldn't be surprised if any clamping down on shitposting was done to avoid drawing the attention of Ole Media Group.

But there is so much other shitposting that gets bypassed. Not that I'm complaining, but it all seems so arbitrary.

Tasteless yes. Worthy of a ban I think not. With all his racist and homophobic comments/jokes it's weird that got him a ban. His choice not to post here anymore though.
