They just need look at Farage then vote the opposite. Anything else is madness.

Nigel has been very good during this campaign

And I would recommend looking at Mandelson or Blair and doing the opposite.

As a neutral, with a passing interest, I still cant see the actual benefits to staying. The countries not in EU at the moments seem pretty happy with their decision, and still seem to do plenty of trade, without having foreign gravy train politicians telling them what to do.

Just the fact that Slick Tony would lose his job would be enough to get my vote.

OUT

Never - they are over 1000 miles away.

Also, I want to vote that way as it is better for NZ with our existing trade agreements not to rock the boat

Did my usual and stopped by the polling station on the way into work. Entirely unscientific, but I would expect turnout to be very high based on what I saw

so why do you think the UK should do it. Give away democracy and join a new elite and Eurocrat's run EU.

Hmm. There is every chance we could end up being ruled by Gavin Henson. I suppose it was always inevitable. I for one welcome this.

Not seen it mentioned in any of the press but it'd affect a huge number of NZers who have or can get UK passports and at the moment can live and work anywhere in Europe indefinitely, get medical care, and so on. That's anyone born in the UK or with at least one parent born there, must be 100s of 1,000s of us.

I would have voted out though, just for the craic.

Isnt a vote to stay a vote to drop the pound? The only way the EU can get sorted is to take control of bonds which means no sovereign bond issues. Everyone on the Euro and all bonds issued centrally. Thats the ultimate destination. If the EU cant do that then its stuffed.

They say a man is judged by the company he keeps and as such, whilst I am sympathetic to many of the arguments and issues outlined by the Leave campaign, I could not, in good conscience, throw my lot in with swivel-eyed loons like Farage, Gove, Boris, Silver and Dai et al.

I voted 'Remain'.

It was a tough call but I suspect my last minute change of heart will be replicated up and down the country.

The 'Remain' campaign may have had a difficult task and may have run an appalling campaign but when push came to shove, 'Leave' lacked credibility and, as is often the way in such referenda, guarantees.

I should be fine either way. I won't be competing with the huge number of low skilled people that flood into the country as the Euro countries collapse, and Turks start pouring in if stay win.

There might not be enough warriors in the UK for leave to win. Time will tell.

and this project is finished anyway. Its just a matter of when. A slow drawn out collapse over many years with huge suffering. Or quick

Is this just what NZ politics is like? Paranoid ravings and goading the population with comparisons to Maori warriors?

Hardly. Say warriors to yer average Kiwi and they'll take it a reference to Auckland's other under-performing ovalball team.

And here we have the problem with our current democracy. Racists and loons do vote, and people who could make a difference don't.

Anyway, I voted in. When you look at who would be given more power by leaving the EU, it's a terrifying prospect.
