The prize:

The contestants:
Boris Johnson
Theresa May
Stephen Crabb
Liam Fox
Angela Leadsom (rumoured)
Michael Gove

May is currently the front runner, but in the normal way of things that means she's not going to get it (which must fuck with the bookies something chronic).

Would suggest putting that poo in a chalice with some rat poison

You could photo-shop Nigel Farage into position (trousers down by his ankles) directly over that pile of poo

I'm genuinely surprised anyone wants to do it. Are they completely nuts?

If you're a Remainer, why not let a Leaver pick up the shit?

And if you're a Leaver, are you really that keen to be the next Spencer Percival?

As has been explained, he doesn't want it. In fact, he didn't even want to leave the EU.

Parliamentary Tory party don't want him to have it, either. I'm torn - quite a lot of me wants him to have to make the calls and take responsibility for the fall out. On the other hand it does matter what happens and I have very little faith in his ability to actually do practical stuff.

Has he actually been nominated yet?

Me too, and that trumps all other factors.

He was so good at the fluffing he ended up with cum all over his face, I'd like to see him clean it off.

The Conservative Party does have a tendency not to vote in the favourite and can be harder to call that other parties e.g. Major over Heseltine, Hague over Clarke and Cameron over Davis.

This leads one to suspect that the next leader may not be BoJo.

Given that it's about time we had another Scottish PM then I would suggest Liam Fox.

Not defending the leave campaign but Johnson is certainly not a silly fellow. We actually need somebody like him in the negotiations with the EU. Theresa May would be a disaster and the rest are not in the running.

Nah, not having that.

IMHO he made a very reasoned case at the start of the campaign before the rhetoric all went tits up.

Certainly not silly - he's an extremely competent con artist with an enormous gift for PR. A pretty entertaining writer, too.

It's his ability as an administrator and diplomat I doubt.

If you take all the emotion out of the recent events with Boris what you see is certainly not what you get. He looks like a buffoon but is a very shrewd operator. Apparently he is literally like a bulldog in negotiations which is what the UK will need in the coming months.

He was also Mayor of London for 8 years so must have diplomatic skills.

Very shrewd when it comes to his own image management. By the accounts of some people who have worked with him, including his former boss at the DT, he is utterly disorganised and a thoroughly nasty piece of work who would be a disaster as PM.

Why would Theresa May be a disaster?

Metro letters today. Somehow Boris and Gove are anti-London establishment and IDS is a man of integrity.

FAO: Bimbo -
Its a matter of opinion regarding Boris I suppose. With regards to May I think she's been a poor home secretary who failed on immigration, the police and also went missing in Campaigning on the recent referendum. I suspect she may have been hedging her bets and knew what the result was going to be!

Thought he was dodgy.

Anyway Boris as a negotiator? The man could barely sort out a night time tube and you expect him to go against the best that Europe has to offer? Jog on.

Liam Fox is a complete prat and is also as thick as pig shit...

My Mrs works in school, Gove has just created one of biggest education messes since that Labour prat in the 1960s who abolished the grammar schools....
