Not sure if this is optimism or naivety, but I like to think he’ll choose to finish out his career in Cleveland.

Paul George on the other hand will almost certainly be in LA next year. If he’s smart he’ll opt for the Clippers (can you imagine how good their D would be with him, Beverley, and Jordan...)

I think he's gonna stay in Cleveland too. Mainly because I think he's going to take it season by season going forward.

And he doesn't wanna deal with Lavar Ball.

Not gonna happen, but it'd be hilarious if he signed with Boston just to f*ck with Kyrie.

Not as good as Roberson-George-Adams, especially next year with Bev coming off a major knee injury and on the wrong side of 30. I'd back last year's Paul-Mbah a Moute-Jordan as better as well.

I'm not sure the older core of the Clippers is all that attractive really...

He'll be wearing purple and gold.

Halfway, this picture's not getting any clearer.

Predict your final 4

Denver
OKC
Clips
Pelicans (43 wins)
---
Blazers

I'll be disappointed if the Pelicans don't make the playoffs. The team is certainly good enough to.

I still think the Thunder finish ahead of Denver... but I wouldn't bet on it.

Steve v. Dwight was fun today. Melo is washed.

The Warriors are sending out a message to every other team in the league.

Warriors lead 81-54 at HT against Toronto at Toronto.

They are so far ahead of every other team it's ridiculous.

Warriors lead 119-115 with 3:11 to go.

Let this be a lesson to you youngsters out there about the folly of fat ladies singing too early.

Warriors hang on.

They're on the second night of a road B2B.

Unfortunately they won't look so weary in 2nd halves come the playoffs...

Nonetheless, gutsy effort by the Raps without Lowry. They're playing some damn fine basketball this season.

Last 3. He's un-guardable when he has the mid-range rainbows falling

Jrue Holiday has been outstanding lately too. He is low-key averaging 26pts, 6 Ass and 4 steals over this little win streak. He was clutch tonight with the last 2 go-ahead buckets in OT and then great defence on Kyrie

Yeah - Jrue was great today.

Always happy to see Boston lose - especially those clown fans that wouldn't trade Tatum for AD!

AD to Boston rumours are always out there... Nothing serious of course - the Pellies would never give-up AD unless he wanted out.

Anyway, in more pressing news - Kawhi could be done for the season! :(

http://www.nba.com/article/2018/01/17/s ... ght-quad#/
The San Antonio Spurs announced that forward Kawhi Leonard will be out indefinitely as he continues his rehabilitation process from right quadriceps tendinopathy.

"Kawhi has made significant progress and continues to move forward in his rehabilitation," General Manager RC Buford said in a statement released by the Spurs. "This is the best approach for the next steps in his return to play.”

Watching First Take this morning :uhoh: ... they were talking about the Cavs or Celtics trading for AD, like it was an actual possibility . Any time we're relevant this is all you hear about

The Pelicans have never given any indications that he is available at any cost, according to actual insiders. Woj recently said they're not even taking calls on Boogie at the moment

A member of the Boston media tweeted this today:
  • This AD to Celtics thing has gotten so misconstrued. There has never been a report that I know of that AD wants to go to Boston. It's always been a one-way street, with the NBA hoping AD will get frustrated by lack of success and Cousins will leave and he'll want out. That's it.
Every league source I've talked to about this connected to NOLA has said things ranging from "AD is not ever getting traded" to "Pry him from cold dead hands" to "Stop calling me."

The idea of trading away a stud like AD to rebuild only works for teams in big markets like your Chicagos and LAs. But for teams in small markets, it's such a struggle to attract free agents that it would be madness to get rid of the only attraction in town. And when you get a freakish talent like AD, you hold on for dear life (that draft lottery was an amazing fluke! He was supposed to go to the Bobcats)

Also, hardest remaining schedules according to BPI:
1. Spurs
2. Suns
3. Blazers
4. Wizards
5. Nuggets

p.s. I agree the Thunder will finish above Denver. Didn't take this into account and thought Millsap was almost back

I read that the Lakers are worst in the NBA in allowing layups/tip ins from offensive boards - Adams must have been salivating before the game knowing that. 4 OR leading to 8 points for him at halftime.

Yeah - 21/10 in 26 minutes. 7 offensive boards...

Great to see Robes back. He covers so much on defence - it's ridiculous.

Said all the time but it's a players' league.

Watching the Bulls without Wade, Rondo and Jimmy Buckets and it's the most fun I've had since the year Noah went bezerk... Hoiberg was a total dud and now he's shooting the lights out.

And of course, lauri >>>> Porzingis

OKC obliterating the Cavs. Cavs have been shite recently. They are going to really need to pull something out of their ass to get back to the finals this year.
Another big game from Steven Adams(25 points so far!), really enjoying his play this year, he is a beast on the offensive glass.

That Cavs defence is something!

They are in big trouble.

Thunder bench still sucks, outside of Felton + 2Pat...

Steve's FTs have gone to shit as well - like they did about this time last year. Needs to sort that out - 50% will do.

Lebron is surely going to leave Cleveland after this season. He knows this team isn't good enough.

As for the Thunder, they are looking better than earlier in the year but don't really look like serious contenders.

The whole team was bad - but IT is as bad as a defender as you'll find in the NBA.

He did cook Russ on the other end, tho. Russ couldn't be arsed to stay in front of him...

The whole team sucked. IT at least was able to score efficiently. There is still loads of time left this season for the Cavs to sort things out, but they are more and more looking like a team that isn't good enough to even make an NBA finals. Their D is giving up almost 110 points a game!

9 back-to-back games left.

Yep. Won 5 of the last 6

(including an embarrassing 1 point loss in Atlanta after being up 60-45 at the half. But that was at the end of the 2 OT road trip so it can be forgiven)

Highly doubtful.

They're looking to move him as they have too many guys on bad contracts. We would have to move a few of our deadweight contracts to make room and there is no way Charlotte want any of that in return. It would take some multi-team dealings (and some crazy GM believing that Frank Jackson is the next Buddy Hield)

Rodney Hood or Joe Johnson could be more realistic targets. They're both on expiring deals and the Jazz aren't doing much winning this year

Mejri is a bit dirty and his histrionics are hilarious.

Wouldn't mind him backing up Steve, though. The Thunder need a proper centre in the 2nd unit instead of Jerami fucking Grant. x(
