You greedy plum!

You gave up jack shit for one of the best players in the game!

Go easy on Steve in a week - he'll be by himself trying to guard AD + Boogie... :uhoh:

EDIT: Boogie has made 6 more 3s than Buddy this season...

Interesting move by the Pels. Kinda excited to see what it will look like on the court. The addition of Casspi was also a nice touch.

Yeah, giving up Casspi is just another kick in the nuts to go with the top 3 protection on the first rounder. Couldn't have traded serial piece of shit Matt Barnes. Nope, had to trade a good 3 and D guy who teammates love.

8)

Gotta free up that cap space to build this juggernaut!

Don't know much about Casspi, but he sounds like a similar player to Pondexter who has been a perennial sicknote since our last playoff appearance (high energy 3 and D wing who shot 43% from 3)

I go on what I have seen in his 6 and a bit years in the league, Cousins is poorly disciplined, a coach killer, a crap teammate and a head case. He brags about being the "best big man in the league" but his highest win total is a whopping 33 games.

Now he has a fresh start I'm curious to see what he does with it. Can he act like a mature, seasoned, professional basketball player or will he remain the same emotionally incontinent mental midget? The fact that the Kings got such a poor return speaks not only to Divac's desperation and incompetence but also to the fact that very few GM's were willing to roll the dice on him.

I think people are reading too much into the poor return as regards the perception of Boogie. The word is that Vivek is obsessed with Hield. He is clearly totally incompetent (the 2019 pick sale is the all time worst trade) and I feel so sorry for Kings fans.

It’s the trade of a lifetime for New Orleans. Their support should be doing cart-wheels, Boogie is a stone cold stud.

It will go either one way or the other for the Pelicans. They now officially have the best front line in the NBA. But they now have the NBA's biggest enigma and coach killer in Demarcus Cousins.

He truly loved Sacramento despite being pretty much screwed over every step of the way by Kings management and Vivek. The guy has his flaws but he's an outstanding basketball player who was generally surrounded by piss poor talent.

I saw Joel Meyers interviewing Cousins and talking about how all of his extended family is within about 2 hours of New Orleans and there'll be a ton of them at the games etc. he added with a chuckle

I really hope he has a good relationship with his family and they don't hound him out of town next year

(kind of like Durant's feelings about living in Washington)

Got a vet 4 to start next to Steve. Big fan of Taj.

Got a guy that can shoot 3s at a decent clip in McBuckets. He's not that good, tho...

But most importantly, we kept Robes! :smug:

The Kings management somehow continues to get worse:
No deals for Kings. Had offers on Ben McLemore, Darren Collison and Arron Afflalo, but opting to wait until this summer to make more moves.
Currently have 7 SGs on the roster and no reason to try to win games this year. Complete joke.

Another good deal if you ask me...McDermott is just the type of player you need, assuming he continues to develop and shoots ~40% from deep.

Hope Taj's arrival doesn't impede Sabonis' development though, I think he has promise going forward, once the game starts to slow down for him. A lot of times he'll make a nice move and then just fire a line drive off the back of the rim, but I expect his touch to soften as time goes on. Don't want him getting discouraged, but I trust BD.

The Frenchman was decent but he's redundant when Kanter's not boxing chairs.

I'm not sure that Sabonis will drop to the bench - but I think it's best that he does. When Kanter was fit, we'd see Sabonis play 10-11 minutes a game quite often - basically he'd start the 1st + 3rd and that was that.

I'd like him to play the 4 with the bench unit next to Kanter. Although I need to think on it more, as I think Grant is best suited at the 4 as well! And Gibson/Kanter appeals... Anyway, as you say, BD will sort it out!

Joff had his moments - but he was worse defensively than Kanter - so he was never here for the long haul.

McBuckets will get great looks playing with Russ - just needs to knock 'em down, which sadly Morrow wasn't able to do this season.

Ship Boogie out for peanuts - but don't fully embrace the tank? Makes no sense - but that's the Kings, sadly.

We have freed up a roster spot - so we'll pick a vet up somewhere...

It sure as shit better not be Semaj anyway!

EDIT: Payne wasn't cutting it - so moving him on was a good call. He couldn't run a PnR, couldn't finish at the rim, and his 3 point shooting was streaky. Defence was improved this season - but overall he's really disappointed. A pity.

Maybe move Sabonis to 3 a la Saric over at the Sixers?

Speaking of which, I see they traded Illyasova for Tiago Splitter...another big man?!????

Sabonis is too slow for the 3. No idea what we'll do with the rotation now, to be frank!

Philly didn't want to pay Illy. They've managed to turn Grant (whom the Thunder got from Philly) into a 1st and two 2nds! Nice work!

Splitter hasn't played for over a year - he was just a salary dump by the Hawks. Last year of his contract - won't ever play for the Sixers.

Rockets are loaded of course...

Lou is a perfect fit.

Pellies play at a top 10 pace, and the Kings are bottom 5. They'll work it out eventually - but they would be better off tanking this season and getting a top 3 pick...
