Flagrant 2 at least.

Haha - they've let him off completely. I'd prefer he didn't get suspended, but that's complete bullshit.

Lakers looking good right now - bench is contributing & defence is looking great.

Lakers definitely not leaving anything to chance. It is easier not having to rely on jacking up a game winning 3 and instead be so far ahead...

Great achievement for Bron & the Lakers, just wish they'd STFU about Kobe.

Just watched the highlights. Lebron was great. But damn, Rondo is worth his weight in gold.

He was good but in all honesty they need to replace him next if they want a repeat. Too old especially because LeBron is slowing down too.

Happy for LeBron and the Lakers and even happier with my TAB balance after the Bledisloe disaster. Hilarious watching the haters have a meltdown on Twitter trying to justify AD as MVP

30.2 ppg, 11.4 rpg & 8.2 apg are fantastic numbers

Got to hold on to the key crew members who just won a championship. Do you want young Lonzo back? Good luck.

Lonzo would be good. How about Trae Young?
Rondo showed his age vs Herro in game 5. Herro burned him with ease. They need young legs, Lebron is not as mobile as he used to be.

You remind me of the Chicago Bulls front office after the Bulls won their 6th championship in 1998. Get rid of the players who won them a championship in favour of younger players who haven't won anything yet. How did that work out for the Bulls?

I don't think changing the supporting cast is quite the same as getting rid of the coach and second best player. Rondo was the 3rd best player on this squad (though not by a massive margin over KCP) and I'm not agreeing they should replace him, but let's be honest - there's a bunch of guys who could have filled his role of "take some of the pressure off LBJ to bring the ball up, play D and hit 35% of his threes".

But as I said, I wouldn't replace him. He's still performing, not on a big contract and has shown he fits into the locker room chemistry of the team. There's no need to tinker with that. If anyone should be replaced it's Kuzma.

Perhaps don't replace him but bring in another point guard to share the load. He'll be 35 next season. LeBron will be 36.
Nothing compared to Chicago.

They have Avery Bradley remember, he just didn't agree to go into the bubble. He's not really gonna take the ball handling role, but he's another good 3 and D guard to add to the rotation.

Realistically though, they'll have their pick of vets on cheap contracts who want a chance to pick up a ring and can surely add someone who can contribute.

The votes are in and the most important decision in US has been made...the NBA Players Association has approved a Dec 22 start date for next season.

No word on when the postal votes will be counted.

OKC is sure piling up the draft picks:
As the NBA’s moratorium on transactions lifted on Monday, the Phoenix Suns made the first blockbuster move of the 2020 offseason, reportedly acquiring point guard Chris Paul from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Phoenix dealt Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre Jr., Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and their 2022 first-round pick to OKC for Paul and Abdel Nader, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The pick is protected for selections 1-12 in 2022, 1-10 in 2023, 1-8 in 2024 and unprotected in 2025, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported.
And:
As reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday (NZT), the Thunder have agreed to send guard Dennis Schroder, one of their top performers in the 2019-20 season, to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Danny Green and the player picked 28th in the upcoming NBA Draft.
So current draft-picks

2020:
Nuggets 1st round pick
Lakers 1st-rd pick

2021:
Own 1st
Heat 1st
HOU pick-swap

2022:
Own 1st
Clips 1st
Suns 1st

2023:
Own 1st
Clips pick-swap
Heat 1st

2024:
Own 1st
Clips 1st
HOU 1st

2026:
Own 1st
Clips 1st
HOU 1st

They did pretty well out of the Westbrook trade.

Dude has gotten returns on two 'untradeable contracts' two years in a row. He's gonna get shit about the Harden trade for the rest of his life (even though he didn't want to trade Harden) but he's probably the best deal negotiator in the league and has a proven history of hitting draft picks.

He is a f**king machine.

When you think about the players they've had come through Oklahoma f**king City of all places...just astonishing. Durant, Paul George, Harden, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook...their all-time team would be more stacked than some teams that have been around since the merger.

In isolation the Bucks gave up way too much for him, but if it helps them keep Giannis it's a no brainer obv. They've also acquired Bogdanovich in a sign & trade so they've improved significantly.

Seriously - when you throw in Melo, there's gonna have been like 5 HOF players that played there in less than a decade.

WTF....wow. Three firsts is steep but the Bucks plan on contending so those are going to be low-value picks anyway. Good riddance re: Bledsoe and George "Over the" Hill though.

Was hoping we'd get the whole Holliday set playing in Indiana :x ...ah well.

Nice signing with Bogdanovic too, talented player, wonder what he can do outside of Sacramento with a proper franchise. (No offense Goey, if you're still out there somewhere. :D )

Didn't even remember he made a stop

This isn't even counting guys like Gallo, Steve Adams, Ibaka, eventual All-Stars like Dipo and Sabonis. I'm sure I'm missing some. They've a nose for talent and know how to get it.

Everyone was convinced he was going to the Nets all weekend so the Bucks were probably quite motivated to get him...

EDIT:
Kevin O'Connor wrote:Celtics were offering Gordon Hayward and their three first round picks for Jrue Holiday
The Boston Celtics reportedly wanted Jrue Holiday; “Danny Ainge was throwing Kemba at everybody trying to get the picks for Jrue Holiday.”
The Lakers offered Kuzma and Green for him before they pivoted to Shroder    I hope Griff laughed before he hung up

They still need more. Ideally, he should be surrounded by elite level 3 point shooters. He collapses the defence for outside shooters.

Well, he had a good run but Danny Green's time in OKC is over. Traded to the Sixers for Al Horford.

And picks of course.

This is going to be such an interesting draft. I feel like I know the name of so many prospects (more than usual) but, like everyone else, I have no idea on how to rank them...

I think(?) I'd be over the moon if the Pelicans or Wizards managed to land Onyeka Okongwu but he won't be available at 9 or 13...or maybe he will...

Sounds like the Wolves don't really want to be no.1... They might take Wiseman and hope someone trades for him later?

Anthony Edwards attitude has been questioned. He sounds like a guy who is just in it for the paycheck and doesn't have much of a competitive drive. But then "attitude assessments" can be overblown...

LaMelo?? A lot of potential (like Lonzo) IF he can improve his shot etc. IF he can finish at the rim (Lonzo still can't)

LaMelo is a bit taller a bit more athletic and a lot longer than Lonzo which should help in that regard, tbf.

Warriors are super interesting to me - Wiseman would be a good fit for what they need now as well as being a guy who could help the transition from the Steph/Klay/Draymond era, but there's gotta be a good chance they trade the pick (possibly with Wiggins) for a player that better helps them win this season. Though there's worrying news about a Klay injury, which might affect their decision.
