Everyone keeps penciling in Wiseman to GSW, but I'm just not sure he's really their type. I think they're quite happy to have a small (read: 6'9") center who can come out on the perimeter, rather than a somewhat lumbering behemoth who, while very athletic for his size, still moves like a seven footer.Jay Cee Gee wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 1:36 amLaMelo is a bit taller a bit more athletic and a lot longer than Lonzo which should help in that regard, tbf.vintage_cox wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 12:59 am This is going to be such an interesting draft. I feel like I know the name of so many prospects (more than usual) but, like everyone else, I have no idea on how to rank them...
I think(?) I'd be over the moon if the Pelicans or Wizards managed to land Onyeka Okongwu but he won't be available at 9 or 13...or maybe he will...
Sounds like the Wolves don't really want to be no.1... They might take Wiseman and hope someone trades for him later?
Anthony Edwards attitude has been questioned. He sounds like a guy who is just in it for the paycheck and doesn't have much of a competitive drive. But then "attitude assessments" can be overblown...
LaMelo?? A lot of potential (like Lonzo) IF he can improve his shot etc. IF he can finish at the rim (Lonzo still can't)
Warriors are super interesting to me - Wiseman would be a good fit for what they need now as well as being a guy who could help the transition from the Steph/Klay/Draymond era, but there's gotta be a good chance they trade the pick (possibly with Wiggins) for a player that better helps them win this season. Though there's worrying news about a Klay injury, which might affect their decision.
I might be a sucker but I think their raving about Avdija was sincere. I think they want someone who's going to make plays and get the ball to their great shooters. And even if the Splash Bros. days are numbered, I don't see them abandoning that style of play.
On the other hand Woj just tweeted that GS is "targeting" Wiseman at 2, so I guess that's that.
