Wiz fans are excited about Deni but I've watched him a lot and he's overrated IMO. I'm not even certain he's the best Israeli player in the draft.
Yooooo welcome back Goey

Nice to see Israel putting out some prospects, I saw the other day that their youth teams have had some success in recent years.

I presume the other player is that PG?
Yeah, Yam Madar. Tenacious defender, good off the dribble, doesn't shoot a great percentage but plays on a medicore team and has to take a lot of contested looks. Took Tyler Dorsey to school in the Israeli playoffs last year and almost single handedly beat Maccabi Tel Aviv (by far the best team in Israel) in the series with them. Also was key in Israel winning u20 Eurobasket last year.

Was basically Roberson 2.0 at CU but with a slightly better shot. Interesting prospect in the 2nd for sure.

I hate when they don't say what all these picks are being traded away for. It had better not be god damned cash considerations Gale

Goodnight, sweet prince :(
In isolation the Bucks gave up way too much for him, but if it helps them keep Giannis it's a no brainer obv. They've also acquired Bogdanovich in a sign & trade so they've improved significantly.
Everyone was convinced he was going to the Nets all weekend so the Bucks were probably quite motivated to get him...

EDIT:
Kevin O'Connor wrote:Celtics were offering Gordon Hayward and their three first round picks for Jrue Holiday
The Boston Celtics reportedly wanted Jrue Holiday; “Danny Ainge was throwing Kemba at everybody trying to get the picks for Jrue Holiday.”
The Lakers offered Kuzma and Green for him before they pivoted to Shroder    I hope Griff laughed before he hung up
Schröder is a great fit for the Lakers to be fair

So, it appears the Bogdan deal wasn't actually allowed to even be negotiated as free agency hadn't even started yet. Which leads some to believe the whole testing the market angle is just the teams & Bogdan making it all appear kosher and above board and that it'll be announced again in a few days time.

Unsurprising considering the news reported so far but Woj just tweeted that Klay's injury is indeed season ending. That really f*cken sucks.

Yep, it sucks alright. I was looking forward to seeing the 'real' Warriors team again. The team that won a championship before Cupcake Durant pussied over there.

Warriors probably wanted him due to that time he accidentally punched John Wall when he was fighting with Draymond.

Grant is a good get, but the Plumlee and Okafor deals are weird. They should have just kept Wood.

Still not as bad as paying Gordon Hayward $30M a season though. And Boston really lost that asset for nothing.

I'm waiting for Pistons to sign Whiteside (or the Knicks to give him the max)

If Harden leaves Rockets it'll be either to Nets or Warriors - champions elect.

Word on the street is that Ainge wanted Myles Turner + Aaron Holiday + TJ Warren or Dipo. Those last two were dealbreakers if you consider that we were already giving them Turner for sure.

I'm kind of annoyed it didn't happen but our GM did the right thing. Ainge was taking the piss. Turner's overrated around the league but him + Warren is too steep. Warren might make an All-star game in the next few years.

Hayward was ready to take $25m a year to play in Indy, which I would have been comfortable with considering Jerami Grant and Joe Harris of all people just got $20m and $19m respectively.

I will, yeah.

I mean if the alternative is

PG - SGA
SG - First round draft pick 2021
SF - First round draft pick 2023
PG - Pick Swap with Houston 2021
C - Al Horford

Serge Ibaka reconnects with the Fun Guy in LA.

That helps make up for losing Harrell, but the Clippers are still playing catch up.

The Lakers front line of M Gasol / Davis / Lebron is scary as hell. Even if Gasol is getting older, he's still super skillful. The only front line in NBA history that would arguably be better would be Parish / McHale / Bird.

Snacking on some John Wall 'member berries

2017 playoffs round 1

2017 EC semis

He was crazy good. Doubt he still has that speed off the mark after the knee+achilles double whammy (Klay Thompson must have pissed off the same old gypsy woman...)

I don't necessarily see it as a step backwards??? Even the salaries are practically identical.

Come to think of it I'm not really sure what either side gets out of it.

Edit: ahhhh John Wall AND a first round pick...hmmm yeah I'm not sure I'd want to give that up, considering it's probably gonna be a lotto slot

Edit 2: well maybe not actually, not exactly going to contend for a title but there's a decent team in there somewhere: Beal, Westbrook, Bertans, Thomas Bryant, Rui, maybe Avdija proves to be something early...

Not worried about the Pacers' chances of making the playoffs but I can't help but feel we're an injury or two away from landing somewhere between 7 and 9. The Hawks got a lot better too, as will the Nets if they're healthy.

The relationship between Wall and the Wizards soured after the initial trade talks were leaked. The Wizards were the ones who pulled out back then and they were furious that it was leaked because it upset Wall. Then all of a sudden he wanted out

Beal is gonna leave (for NOLA 8) )

On the plus side being the best defensive team in the league rarely leads to championships
