The difference those second rows made is crazy.
Yet to see Retallick not be excellent. Well done NZ'd, well deserved despite all the spite on the match thread from me.

Unbelievably kiwi defence
Congratulations to them read the referee brilliantly, targeted and removed the right men

Did a South African just start a congratulations thread from a match the Springboks weren't even involved in?

Congrats lads.
Winning ugly is still winning.
Still think there is another couple of gears in the side. Their attack wasnt firing 100% tonight

Too good. Pity we didn't get those tries in the 1st half.

Defense was awsome. Rettalick is NZ's best player.

Good game Ireland. Losing key players didn't help you. There's a reason why you scored 5 tries two weeks ago and none today.
Smash the Aussies next week please. And break the Pom's streak in the coming 6N.

Congrats kiwis - a hard-fought win.

Too cynical at times, but the defense was great and the smooth interplay before the 1st and 3rd try showed why you deserved to win.

Good match - we should do this more often

Nice little rivalry the past few tests between these teams.

Well done Kiwis.

Sitting beside a lad who came over from Dunedin for the game. Even bought me a drink!!

Sick one to lose. The intensity of the collisions were insane.

Funny ,I was thinking that too Salanya, I wish I could watch more AB tests against the Irish after that game, geez they gave it everything!!
And after first test against Wales earlier in year, I was saying the same thing!! Perhaps we need to play in 6N!!! :D

Sadly it wasn't me. Seemed like a great atmosphere.

Your guys again taught us real lessons about ball retention. When we weren't being robbed of it in rucks and mauls we were putting in stupid kicks and wasting possession.

Looking forward to seeing how Ireland go in the 6N. The game against England is a mouth watering prospect. :)

Certainly the Lions Test Matches are irrelevant ... too many Welsh will play, etc ...

But looking forward to it, for a very early breakfast here ...

Congrats Kiwis. Better team the clean sheet attests to that. Barrett again the difference. Just so hard to defend but as said above Retallick for me was MOTM.

Done Kiwis. Deserved. Decent contest even if we were left very one dimensional by the injuries.

Cracking series.

More please.

Are you Irish Botha Boy? Sorry assumed you were a saffer.

Mucho congrats Kiwi's. The 3 injuries disrupted things for us but you guys deserved it.
Kieran Read was interviewed after the game on RTE and he sounded and looked shell shocked. His voice was very shaky.

From an Irish perspective, my avatar gives a clue ... ;)

And KR had apparently played a proper Test Match ... they will never take us for granted again ... mission accomplished

Would have loved to have had a proper 3 test series with the decider now to come.

Irish Rugby has been on the rise for a while now, and we know that the ABs can never ever afford to take them lightly or give them an inch ever again.

Great to see such high quality rugby being played.

Congrats to the Irish again on bringing it in the return fixture. ABs fully tested mentally and physically. Go well vs the Wallabies next week. Your front 8 are as good as anything going in test rugby currently.

Congrats Kiwis. The intensity you brought to defence stopped us at source, and I can't think of one phase of play where you weren't 100% focussed, and then you pulled some wonderful rugby out of the bag just when I thought we might steal it. It was a brutal game and wasn't the prettiest, but what a contest.

They've become so conditioned to starting congratulatory threads this season, that they just start them automatically even if their team isn't involved.

Onya Ireland.....that was a right old stoush and had watchers on the edge of their seats....big ups to the match officials for having two

games on this tour.....two cracking games from two good teams having a real biff at each other, one leading the game statistics, one

leading on the scoreboard. May many more games be held between these two 100+ years foes.....seeya in the shaky isles next time

for a June meeting I hope....well played those men....

I just posted this on another thread but it probably belongs here

Thanks Ireland.
It was a tremendous 2-test series and Ireland proved they have what it takes to become a far more consistent threat to the ABs.

I loved both matches (the 2nd one slightly more, to be honest) and wish all tests were like this -- serious physical battles with a good dose of skill and brilliance. The right team won in both tests.

Can't argue with any of that. Pity you guys aren't playing England I reckon that would be tasty too.
