Total mockers you shitehawk. Sixth try, this could get embarrassing.comets wrote:newcastle's left wing side is weak on defence, saints will attack that wing all day, i'm pissed that falcons pass so close on the run, chances of ball's getting dropped and more chance of opposition easily being able to read the play, speed to the breakdown has been poor for falcons, i'm sure saints will win this by 21.
Think his goose is cooked but they won't want to bin him during the seasonOxbow wrote:Finished 46-31, Saints shipped seven tries. Mallinder can't hold onto his job much longer surely.
Kieron Brookes was a decent player until he decided to leave Falcons. Not that the Falcons lads are likely to point that out, mind.JM2K6 wrote:Yikes.
Newcastle are a proper side these days, and I was wrong about Deano losing his mojo. But still... Christ.
hard to believe that former england winger, Marcus Watson has to be on the bench for falcons..they should start him on the wing and move sinoti^ or goneva to centre, their attack will increase two folds.Chuckles1188 wrote:They've got some great players up there. Sinoti^2, Goneva, Wilson, Fonua. Good to see them in decent form. A spot in Europe isn't a total pipedream
Marcus Watson has never played for England in this sport.comets wrote:hard to believe that former england winger, Marcus Watson has to be on the bench for falcons..they should start him on the wing and move sinoti^ or goneva to centre, their attack will increase two folds.Chuckles1188 wrote:They've got some great players up there. My reading of the tea-leaves is that Dorian West is on the way outChuckles1188 wrote:Think his goose is cooked but they won't want to bin him during the seasonOxbow wrote:Finished 46-31, Saints shipped seven tries. Mallinder can't hold onto his job much longer surely.
He has an Olympic silver medal in Sevens, but the pitch is probably rather too crowded for him in the version of the game he's currently playing. Progress for Falcons will be reaching the stage where when the clubs with deep pockets come calling for the latest talent to emerge in the North East, the targets politely decline the move.JM2K6 wrote:Marcus Watson has never played for England in this sport.comets wrote:hard to believe that former england winger, Marcus Watson has to be on the bench for falcons..they should start him on the wing and move sinoti^ or goneva to centre, their attack will increase two folds.Chuckles1188 wrote:They've got some great players up there. I spent my time trying to get a terrible stream working on my phone. Wasn't worth it. Radio Newcastle's commentary was typically maudlin for the first 20, but turned it into party time for the rest basically.OhNo wrote:Watson is rumoured off and watching today I think he may be injured again.
First 10 minutes I thought oh f**k here we go again, rest of the half happier as the Falcons showed a lot of fight. Second half was ecstasy, I have had a season ticket for over a decade and I have watched a lot of twattings being dished out at KP, first time I've seen the Falcons doing the twatting.
Edit I mean against good solid teams and despite their problems I think saints will end up above the Falcons as usual.
Bloody well hope so. Not a particularly inspiring move.Saint wrote:Got that wrong didn't I?SaintK wrote:Bloody well hope so. Dprian appears to have been demoted from head coach to forwards coach only but is staying alongside the existing coaching team, with Phil Dowson added to the group
Re-arranging the deckchairs. The whole set up needed a refreshNorthampton Saints has today confirmed the club’s new coaching structure for the 2017/18 season onwards.
The structure both builds on the stability which established the club as one of the most consistently successful in the Aviva Premiership over the past decade and sees the return of one of the most popular and respected figures in the Saints’ recent past.
Phil Dowson wrote his name into the club’s history by being the first player to lift a major domestic trophy in black, green and gold, the 2010 LV= Cup, just one of his 187 first team appearances in a six-year playing career at Franklin’s Gardens. Dowson – who also helped lift the Aviva Premiership and European Rugby Challenge Cup trophies in 2014 – was one of the senior leaders throughout his time at the club, driving standards on and off the pitch, and this summer he will be back in the East Midlands in a new role of assistant coach.
Dowson completes a coaching quartet also including Alan Dickens, Mark Hopley and Dorian West. Dickens will build on his work leading an attack which has seen the Saints team average three-and-a-half tries per game since the turn of the year, while Hopley steps up from his role as Senior Academy coach to run the first team’s defence. West continues as forwards coach.
Director of rugby Jim Mallinder says that he has full confidence in the coaches’ abilities to bring the best out of the players and get the team back to the top of English rugby
God only knows.JM2K6 wrote:So no actual head coach?
Don't think so, but who knows?Oxbow wrote:That is all very
Has Dowson been doing a bit of coaching down at Worcester or is this just a stab in the dark please God hope it works out kind of thing?
In interviews etc he's always come across as a smart guy and a bit of a thinker, as well as being one of those "natural leader" types. But dropping him straight in as assistant coach into a coaching group that has looked less than organised and forward thinking is probably not an ideal start to his coaching careerSaintK wrote:Don't think so, but who knows?Oxbow wrote:That is all very

He is also the MD of a company called Nth Degree Imaging. A specialist supplier of wide format printing solutions
Should imagine he spreads himself quite thinly!!!
It took 100-odd years for us to "have our time" - I'm not waiting around another 100 years for it to come round againfisgard792 wrote:Don't get all this 'deckchairs' stuff.
it all comes across as a bit of 'entitlement'.
They are still in the top 2 clubs in the east midlands (sorry) and no where near bottom of EPL.
Saints have had their time, and it will probably come again.
