Its annoying as he's an effective player but you just cant trust him to make those pressure throws.

No doubt Earl thought he was the best player on the pitch and all blame should go to one of the locks for the lineout

The last lineout before he came on?

Was that also his fault?

The subs didn't understand the calls. Itoje had to take POM through the call on the previous lineout. So, there was clearly a breakdown in comms.

To be expected with a scratch team?

You'd like to think that is him done now.

Keep to the tackle bags, Rory.

Clearly not just Best's fault- same thing happened to Owens- as much the fault of the replacement props, jumpers and lineout caller.
That being said, it doesn't look good for the chap.

Itoje stepped into the lineout well in time for Best's throw. The throw looked lower and faster than he was expecting, but equally he (Itoje) didn't seen to get the lift he was expecting. Poor lineout work all around, not just Best.

The thrower and the pod have to carry the can.

Player shaming like this (leaving the merits of the accusation to one side) is un rugby like and not worthy of a rugby forum.

If you want the welsh exemption clause to apply under the welsh are nasty crusty fuckers and not like other rugby people go to a welsh rugby site.

We'd been dominant with the maul and were close to their line when a converted try would win it.

He's like clockwork. I turned to a few worried friends not that familiar with Rory and said, don't worry, lineouts are not Best's forte. He doesn't disappoint.

They were 6 points behind and a few metres from the try line :uhoh: it was no ROG fuckup mind.

Take a look again. Google "best premature ejaculation" you'll find it.

Yeah, well lost is cripplingly daft.

We had an attacking line out metres from their line and had a superior and already profitable maul.

As for Rory's culpability, I am sympathetic to the argument that it was a systematic issue provoked by several substitutions and some greeness re: calls. That said, a player of his experience and reputed quality really needs to demonstrate greater composure. It was headless, panicky stuff. Very disappointing and along with Nowell, who had an absolute 'mate and Liam with his ill-discipline, he'll have to take his share of responsibility and knocks. As will the likes of Halfpenny the Mole and the Irish centres who butchered a first half try. And Lawes and Itoge for their penalty count.

Yeah after the ROG, Best and BOD "how dare you drop me" business we really need to revert to the British lions. Three strikes and you're out. Only then will our Scottish brothers get justice. It's not about quality, it's about the right attitude and temperament.

Much like the Scotland throw in THAT RWC quarter final, you have to wonder why the Lions selected one of the lower percentage throws in that situation. Why not a simple throw to two in an already dominant lineout?

I particularly enjoyed C69 bemoaning Itodger's (anyone else listen to the Kiwi stream?) lack of discipline right after Tips got penalised for not rolling away  Maro was legal
