Personally I believe that NZ should always respect the National Anthem of the country - therefore that can't be dropped.
So if it came down to a ruling from the powers on high then the Haka would be dropped. And that would also affect Fiji, Samoa and Tonga.
What I would like to see - mainly to stop the endless f**king whining and bollocks from people like you is that the NZRU asks the opposite Union if they would like to have the Haka or not.
If they say no then NZ won't do it - the local union can explain it to the players and fans themselves.

There's never been any real hint of a threat of physicality in a full test, except perhaps Norm Hewitt & Cockerill in 97 or so and even that was just mean mugging. If you look on youtube there's loads of times when schoolboy teams have erupted into fighting though, some of those are league but also in union.
