Looks like the MAB player is getting a bit of a facial there.

If Hendy and AWJ start midweek (assuming Lawes still sparked) then a big performance from Henderson could see him on the bench.

I would love to see POM captain the Lions in the test. The passion of the man would be overwhelming.

Possible elbow by MAB with the scrum cap to SOB right at the end of the gif?

The closest thing to foul play there is red 7 wrapping the ball. But it must have only lasted 0.25 sec in real time.

All I can see are two Lions players blatantly killing the ball as they were allowed to do on multiple occasions. ;)

The only elbow I saw during the game was when Kruis nailed Lowe from an attempted charge-down...

I feel like I'm missing something here. Yes, pashun and all that, but POM didn't really do anything today. Didn't carry. Didn't tackle. Didn't win turnovers. Don't you want more?

Thought Maro really grew into that game.
He did. He looked a tad lightweight in some early exchanges, held up for a turnover but got better as the game went along.

If I imagine it I can almost see it. I'm more concerned about Itoje decapitating McKenzie in that clip.

Gatland will find it very hard to assess the players until he reads Jeff's handy ratings later.

Cool.

Where does that attitude and aggression manifest itself? It's not like we were getting tons of quick ball or anything.

His game is destructive in the ruck, maul and lineout. Maori never really got the ball nor did they throw long due to the conditions. Think he'd be more useful against the All Blacks.

OK, that's a reasonable reading of his game. I'm just at a loss to explain why people were impressed with him today.

Maori player in possession releases ball and draws his arm up which hits SOB. Can just be seen in the shadows. Looks accidental to me.

You must really wanna see it! I can hardly tell what anything is underneath SOB, he is clearly flopping all over a player under him and apart from black the only other colour to be made out is a flash of skin that seems to be the players neck.

Fair farks to the Lions. They dominated the game tonight and have done extremely well against two good packs over the past 2 weekends.

The All Blacks are on notice. They need to do the tough stuff up front and earn the right to go wide in that 1st test. The kicking game of both teams will be crucial as will the aerial receipt and chase.

It may come down to one or two bits of individual brilliance.

Ah I see it now, it's his right arm under him after he manages to release the ball, he cocks it and let's it go.

Not much in it, really, but it helps to know which player is supposed to be committing the foul play.
