Pretty much this although rubbish is a bit strong. They were outmuscled for most of the game. Bes Smith will not be around in the next test to gift the Lions ball.

Liam Williams had a terrible second half after being great in the first.

Not all bad though - got caught napping a couple of times and got pinged too often, but some excellent breaks from the back 3.

Difficult to know if different selections would help - definitely need to do more at the breakdown.
It's a great shame Billy V wasn't fit.

Warburton gone from from the squad. Stander to the bench or maybe to 8 ahead of Faletau who wasn't great after a brilliant tour up to now.
Changes at lock. Both AWJ and Kruis were poor.
Maybe a replacement for Daly who wasn't great.
Hopefully Lawes will be back.
Also Itoje and Sexton to start. Farrell had a shit game.
I wouldn't make too many changes - otherwise the team will never gel. Today's side weren't so far away.

The 20mins around half time were owned by the Lions and the All Blacks were only just hanging on. The fact that they managed to get back in control speaks volumes about how good they are.

Bar POM, SOB and Mako, the starting forwards were pretty pathetic. You can blame Peyper all along but that lack of competiveness at the breakdown was poor. It looked to me like a lot of guys thought their job was over after getting selected.

Itoje should not be used as an impact player, especially in a team chasing the game. He needs to be there from the start.

The try where Williams didn't catch it. That try was Williams fault not Dalys
Had nothing to do with sexton throwing the ball into the kiwis hands one phase earlier on quick attacking ball????

Fair enough, but I thought it was boring and the Lions had no answer to a NZ who barely reached third gear. The series is over.

Difficult for a 5 in a scratch pack I think, POC struggled with it as well.

Jordie in? Or Fekitoa..? Both..? Either way we come into the 2nd test with arguably as strong a team. Lineout accuracy a concern. If the BILs can step up, those controllable elements will hurt.
Think we might get Coles back for the second test.
Injuries to Crotty, B Smith and Kaino (?) May make things a bit more interesting though.

I thought Peyper was fine. The speed the All Blacks play at must make them incredibly hard to ref. The Lions did some dumb things when they fell behind and he pinged them for it. Easier to give away penalties when you're defending as well, and the Lions were down in possession 61-39, and in territory 63-37.

Just as a matter of interest because this comes up all the time...every time I watch a team play NZ and lose the whole NZ never got out of third gear thing comes up. When have they against a tier 1 opponent in the last 5 years? Serious question.

Lions' half-backs were completely outplayed. As predicted, Farrell was gash at 10. No pace or quick feet, just a plodding passer and good kicker. Couldn't do those things right either tonight. Don't know if the lack of spark outside him convinced Murray to rely on kick-and-hope tactics but that didn't work much either. Just gave the ball back to the ABs. In his cameo, Webb showed what pace and invention can do. He should start 2nd test. Sexton was meh when he came on but is more likely to create something than Farrell ever will.
