I like Tim, he was never going to be 'a great' during the Agassi/Sampras era and it daft to criticise him for that but he was bloody good player nonetheless who lifted British tennis from the shitfest era that was Jeremy Bates and Andrew Castle. He pretty much spent a decade in the worlds top 10 reaching number 4 in the process, won 11 ATP titles, $12 million in prize money and has a fit wife.

All hail Tim.

Tim was an excellent player, widely underrated by the British public.

Their house is just up the road. Sometimes they put up the odd tennis player.

Choker was entirely unfair. He possibly choked once against Ivanisovic in the semi which was rain interrupted. Other than that his problems were:

1) He was a serve volleyer who liked playing on grass in preference to other surfaces.

2) Sampras was practically unbeatable on grass
