Think I'm heading down for the Friday. Looks like the weather will hold next week, except for perhaps Thursday.

I see Federer's been talking up the Aussie loonie. He should make for good TV even he doesn't get far. And that about exhausts my knowledge of tennis.

Yeah I have Friday off so might make my way down for a wander around the outer courts.

Was on 'Henman Hill' for last years final which in fairness was enormous fun.

Just have to hope Djokovic gets completely consumed by his conspiracy theory madness and goes all Silver on the British press.

I haven't liked Wimbledon since our Tim retired. Just didn't and still doesn't have that same vibe.

The cries of "C'mon Tim" and "You can do it Timmmm" after every net volley point or break in play was just tremendous. He was the underdog. Every round was a tight contest. Edge of your seat sort of stuff.

Now we have the dour Scot. Yes, winning, but not really winning in terms of what many Wimbledon enthusiasts like. He is not a popular winner. Not a people winner.

Murray a set to the good. Movement looking alright so far.

The winner will go on to play the coolest man in tennis. The dreadlocked, Nadal-slaying Dustin Brown.

I like Tim, he was never going to be 'a great' during the Agassi/Sampras era and it daft to criticise him for that but he was bloody good player nonetheless who lifted British tennis from the shitfest era that was Jeremy Bates and Andrew Castle. He pretty much spent a decade in the worlds top 10 reaching number 4 in the process, won 11 ATP titles, $12 million in prize money and has a fit wife.

All hail Tim.

He was, but back then at Wimbledon you were just playing for the right to be humiliated by Sampras in the Final anyway.

Never walked it. You might be right. In other years we have strolled from stepdaughter's mother and father's house after parking in their drive.

Their house is just up the road. Sometimes they put up the odd tennis player.

Comfortable win for Murray. Encouraging start.

Next match against Brown should be very entertaining.

He also did comfortably better at Wimbledon than at any other Grand Slam, rather giving the lie to the choker tag that sometimes gets pinned on him.

Choker was entirely unfair. He possibly choked once against Ivanisovic in the semi which was rain interrupted. Other than that his problems were:

1) He was a serve volleyer who liked playing on grass in preference to other surfaces.

2) Sampras was practically unbeatable on grass

Don't use one now. I have an iPad Air 2. It works through my iPhone if I cannot get WiFi.

Why do you ask?

Quite a lot of players seem to prefer a "rented" house rather than a hotel.

My wife's mother has put up golfers in her house when the Open is on at Lytham.

It's really lucrative for some.

Oh Stan... Why are you so shit on grass, and so good on everything else?

Bedene deadlocked with the giant Karlovic. 4 hours, into a 5th set, and not a single break of serve. One man will have to break serve to end it though.
