Post a picture of yourself playing rugby

Post by Mog The Almighty »

I don't know what happened to the old thread of the same name. If it's still around, by all means delete/merge this one. I couldn't find it by searching.

So let's get the ball rolling again...

Post your proudest moments. Bragging rights on the line.

I don't actually have many. Other people take them and I usually forget to save them. I'll try and dig some up.

I'm obviously not the second rower in the third one. These are just the only rugby photos I had that I'm tagged in.

I like the one where it looks like I'm tackling Toby Falatau.

In the team-line up I'm the dot sixth from the left.

Still brutal I imagine. They do snow rugby here although I've never tried it. Crazy bastards.

This thread is off to a slow start.

Is that actually Nigel Owens or are you just saying it's someone who looks like him? Like I"m tackling Toby Faletau in my first photo?

And which one are you? The ref is starring at two fat blokes. LOL. In the forground or the blurry head in the background? ;)

Great photo regardless.

Was really good for us as we got to play on the Arms Park. Had a great time and recruited a few of the SOHK boys too. Couple still turn out for us occasionally.

That's what I thought when I moved to Sweden (I'll move here and dominate).

Big mistake. They're all much better than me and f'n huge too. It is allsvensken though - which is the top level. There's three levels below I could (should) play where I might be able to impose myself a bit more. Just too old to be dominating anything anymore tbh. x( I've started yoga instead. I used to play No.8 FFS when I was in my early twenties. Now most of the wingers are about my size (103kg).

As I side-point, I also noticed the amateur players in France were not that big either. Wouldn't mind having a bash over there in some crappy grade. Be a "big guy" again.

P.S. I've also played against Japanese players. They weren't big but damn did they go low into their tackles. It was pretty much impossible (for me anyway) to fend or bump them. They were cutting the grass.

I think it's more a case of typing too quick. If I wanted to bang some Japanese bloke then I'd smash him and be proud of myself for it. As it turns out I'm not into Asians.
