Any recommendations for a 24hr/early opening sports bar where I can watch the ABs at 6.45am Sunday morning?
I'll be staying in East Melbourne and I suspect my hotel only has Freeview/most commercial Foxtel packages only have limited sports channels, so BeIn Sports likely not included...

The casino is probably your best (and dare I say only) bet.

Give the Imperial Hotel in the city a ring, they often open up early doors for Football matches, they might be showing it. You can walk there from East Melbourne it's on Spring St.

Not far from work. I like the Imperial. It's a longshot, but worth a crack.

The Crafty Squire would be a longshot as well. It's a James Squire brewhouse and not exactly a noted sports bar.

I'd go with the cazza as the short priced fave with The Turf Bar on Queen St and the Squire as place chances.

I realised I'd overdone it one night at the cazza when I noticed it was getting light outside, the cleaners were vacuuming around me, and the only other people in the place were complete dropkicks sitting at the pokie machines.

That was about 5.30am.

So at 6.45am, I imagine the place will be cranking up for business again.

Ah, the joys of a routine...

We moved to the Duke - nice pub

The Duke is one of my favourite post match rugby venues. If you've a few too many on board, it doesn't matter. too much They put up with one on one scrums in the main bar.
