Interesting results here. Facism gets a bad rap on this website but is it deserved?
According to a YouGov survey, some 81% of people would choose communism over fascism if they had to decide.

If the respondents are allowed to select ‘don’t know’ as an answer 42% would still pick communism and just 10% fascism, according to the poll.
Excluding ‘don’t know’ as a response, of those who voted Conservative 64% would choose communism and 36% fascism
Some 90% of Labour voters in 2017 would opt for communism and some 93% of Liberal Democrat supporters would do the same.

Would you rather be violently buggered to death by a Rhino or a Hippo?

This thread deserves to be linked to an "Obvious questions to which the answer is neither" thread.

Little difference between communist state or racist state really - meaningless one party elections, heavy policing, excessive military spending , restrictive personal freedom, and inefficient financial regulation

Fascists had better uniforms, commies better gymnasts - is about the biggest difference I can think of

You're a bit dense at times. The question that arises is why the preference for communism?

both abhorrent imo

but communism gets a better rep because of its supposed good intentions, most westerners are still oblivious to the damage it caused

I believe both D'Souza and Prof Jordan Peterson spoke about that. It's fashionable: you get to force your viewpoint on others, access power, all the while being sanctimonious/in a higher moral position. A major invigoration of the ego. You're doing it "for the greater good" in an ideology where you "care" for society and the people etc.

If I was one of the people at the top, then fascism seems more appealing - no need to keep up a pretense that you are the same as the proletariat.

If on the other hand I was one of the huddled masses then it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference to me.

That's retarded, Fascism has nothing to do with Conservatism.

It's radical Radical authoritarian nationalism.

None of which is a feature of Conservatism.

In answer to the original post, both are equally bad, and pretty much different sides of the same coin and should be opposed in equal measure.

It was a purely superficial comment, it wasn't meant as a compliment to Che's politics.
