Really excited for this game.

The Wallabies are always tough on home soil, especially in Sydney. Their teams were improved in Super Rugby, and it will be interesting to see if this improvement translates to the international arena.

This week will be all about the mind games between Hansen and Cheika, which have already started with Hansen declaring that the Wallabies are favourites, and Cheika responding by telling him to lay off the meth.

Selection will also be the big talking point of the week, I expect Hansen will be very conservative with his selections.

SBW was named but is still a few weeks away so Lumpy was called in directly when they named the team, if I understood correctly.

Yes that's exactly what happened. I thought long and hard about who would be on the bench and I just think that with Crotty and Lienart-Brown starting, it will be Goodhue or Laumape at no.23. IMO Laumape offers more impact off the bench, plus Hansen might want to give him a run before SBW returns and Goodhue has played lots of Rugby this year.

I'll be honest, I think Laumape lacks the size to be effective playing his current game style at test level. He's only 171cm and 102kg. That's actually pretty small for a midfielder who relies on his power. In comparison, Jamie Roberts was 193cm and 110kg, Manu Tuilagi is 185cm and 110kg, SBW is 193cm and 112kg and Tevita Kuridrani is 192cm. Even young Jack Goodhue is a full 16cm taller than Laumape, and only a couple of kg's lighter.

All blacks by 20
Hansen seems to have shot his load a little early in the press. Can we be even hotter favourites this week?

I think the AB's will win. But I'd be very surprised with a 20 point margin. The Wallabies were really strong in the 2nd and 3rd Bledisloe tests last year, winning one and going within seconds of winning the other. And I expect them to be better this year. Their preparation has been better in 2018, they've got quality players like Poccock back, and as a squad they've got more players in form.

Hansen was obviously talking shit when he said that the Wallabies should be favourites, but they're not far off the AB's and anyone who thinks this will be a one sided test is delusional.

Who will play 13 for Aus? In attack I feel Beale has the most to offer in the midfield and I thought he was key to the Tahs making the semis.

In the forwards man to man it’s very close- but the ABs tended to have better skills, decision making and connection with backs which usually converts to better attack and more points. Mick B has improved Aus here.

Looking forward to game - albeit out at birthday party....

We’d up against the 6million dollar man. No one ever beats the 6million dollar man.

Wallabies to win by one YC.

We've been here before.....55points scored last year....we are not that bad now but 20points is not unrealistic if we don't turn up

They’ll turn up. I reckon the Wobs have had a good build up, low key and they have some depth. It’s been a long time... I reckon Chieka will have them primed.

The Wallabies have been very quiet and that worries me. I've always felt that they are feeling confident and do well when they are quiet, and that they are trying to talk themselves into believing when they and former players talk it up large in the press.

The Barrett deal, to get BB then JB and SB come for free. ;)

AC: Is Laumape really only 102kg? I reckon he'd be 105kg - 108kg (on random guesstomisation).

It feels like teh barretts are Hansen’s new love fest

I can see his point that he wants to develop a 15 in case Ben isn’t around for some reason but that back 3 is no way NZ’s best

Edit..assuming this is the back 3 he actually picks

Clearly Reiko hasn't played the same card - yet.

Yeah, JB is one for the future but he shouldn't be starting over BFA at 15 ... but, unlike Kiwias I don't want to see Naholo, he's pretty much a myth in the black jersey.

It’s not going to happen but I would love to see Mo starting at 10 with BB at FB (with Bender on the wing) and DMac on the bench.

I don’t believe Beauden is ever really going to be the 10 we need, for all his talent. But coming into the line and operating as a second playmaker he could prove to be perfect. It’s time to put Mo’s feet to the fire and see how he reacts, because the ABs with a steady, intelligent and controlling 1st five at the RWC unleashing that talent outwide will be unbeatable

I'm not really happy with any of the right wing selections in the squad - I think that Alaimalo and Bridge would have been better options than Naholo and NMS.

naki's idea is a good one, though it wont happen.

anyone actually saw the TRIALS yesterday?, i saw a few bits and pieces (since it was not televised because hansen was afraid Australia will see their "secret" weapons in action), apparently Laumape was superb so likely to start at 12 with crotty moved to 13 (goodhue on bench as he wasn't that impressive or maybe ALB) , NMS was apparently meh again so we may see laumape play wing in the future or atleast a wing cover on the bench..

#RichieMo'Magic it is, then

Even young Jack Goodhue is a full 16cm taller than Laumape, and only a couple of kg's lighter.
someone was being cute on wikipedia, Laumape is 177cm (taller than you  ) thus 5'10 not 171cm (5'7)

Laumape with Karl who is 6'1 (185cm)

What do you think of his younger brother Kini? Future AB?
TBH, I think he was pretty lucky being on the end of that star studded Hastings Boys team last year and was a bit overrated (he scored the tries but other backs were much better) - however, from all reports out of the Naki he appears to being going well in the senior ranks. Will be interesting watching him progress.
