Sexypoes would defintely win World Bad sport of the Year for the 3rd year running and keep the cup.

Yep, there never seem to be enough forwards on this list. Furlong and Sam Whitelock would be worth a shout.

Brawn v brains/skill. Unfathomable that the average punter prefers the latter. 🤔

Because they are arseholes and it is the exact same reason why there was two world wars in the 20th century
Whoah! Is this what’s meant by “drawing a long bow”?

It is an actual FACT
😄

Can’t argue with that.

BB would deserve his place more if he hadn’t had the kicking duties. He continues to have the best highlights reel in world rugby though and, kicking aside, hasn’t been as bad as some believe.

I’ve seen diddle squat of Sexton’s performances but read more than enough to be happy if he wins.

If Codie Taylor doesn’t win it this year then the award is busted. Unbelievable the effort he’s put into AB machine this year.

Suspect they will probably go for someone who has been nominated

WR released a promo video for the award. It features a whole minute of BB doing BB things and gives the others a few desultory ‘highlights’ tacked on at the end.

Congrats on the threepeat Beauden

Sexton's highlights consist of a hug from Teddy Thomas, a drop goal, a place kick and a bunch of passes.

Would love Beauden to get it just to see the Irish reaction.

He hasn't been close to best player in the world though - like last year he's not even the best in the ABs.

No, he hasn’t, though I’m not sure any AB has obviously played better than the rest. Retallick, the obvious choice, has missed several games.

Just occurred to me. Shouldnt Goodhue be in the running for breakthrough player?

As mentioned above Taylor has probably been the best week to week, and if Goodhue hadn't got sick he could have been named in this and breakthrough.

So Barrett gets it on 2 good performances vs a crap aussie side but goes missing under pressure when it really counts

Who the hell is doing the selections - must be blind

Retallick is the worlds best player by some margin but suppose he hasn’t played enough

Would give it to faf over ioane- just because ,as has been stated - he’s a big head show pony and needs to pull his head in

The Saffer wing deserves it but I would give it to Karl just for that Mo.

What was BB like on last years EOYT? That’s counted right? Personally I think they’d never give it to him after the loss to SA but people blamed him for the Lions series as well so who knows?

Barrett may just get it on his mad skills. May be fallible, but he puts together a hell of a highlights reel, year after year.

Should go to Rieko Ioane IMO. No racial bias at all.

Exactly my point. The fact Codie wasn’t nominated is a travesty.

Marx cannot be a serious consideration. How many line-outs did he mess up with this lack of basic ability?

This last game won’t count, even though it may in the minds of the voting panel. But consistency has always been Marx issue. Hence he’s never been, in my mind, the best in the world in his position.

I know these AI's don't count. But it is indicative of his lack of ability in the core roles of his position.

The fact he couldn’t throw it in th ocean from a boat should count against an otherwise superb year.

How is it selected? It used to be an panel who watched every international and assigned 3, 2, and 1 points for the top 3 players right? Then the most points took the award. How do they do it now? And when did it change?
